Can 'Jumbo' be the most successful Indian coach?

After much procrastination, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Anil Kumble (nicknamed 'Jumbo') as the new coach of the Indian Cricket Team on last Thursday. Ravi Shastri had operated as Team India's director from August 2014-April 2016 and was one of the front-runners for this prestigious position. But to the surprise of many, Kumble has been appointed as India's cricket coach for a year initially. India's tour of West Indies late next month will be Kumble's first assignment as coach of the national cricket team. The preparatory camp for that tour begins on 27th June, 2016 in Bengaluru, where Kumble will have a face-to-face with the Indian players for the first time.

Nobody has any doubt about the astute cricket brain of Kumble, the most successful Indian bowler; but the million-dollar question is whether he can build a rapport with Virat Kohli, the Captain, and other senior Indian players. If 'Jumbo' is able to build up a great equation with other players of the team, India will again reach the pinnacle of glory in cricket.

Innumerable cricket enthusiasts are expecting this from the new coach of Indian cricket team.
