How a nation can allow child porn!

    Hello Friends!

After a long time I am here again. I hope this entrance finds you in good health!

Well, let come to the point! Just now, I have come to know that my one friend's son has been caught today with porn video in his mobile. I know this scenery is enough to drive our thinking power to many directions. But my question is very different today, perhaps first time ever in ISC forum! Excuse me if I'm wrong.

The fact which I want to share to you is that I have heard the video is played by two foreign teenagers around 12 or 13 years old and a matured guy around 35-40. Now, just think how pathetic it is for those who have seen just a very little portion of this world still. Is not it tortured? Is it not a crime treated in foreign countries? If not, how they can accept it! What's their logic behind not to object actually?

Member please put your valued views here which are only justified and inline. All are requested not to divert the thought of author anyhow and to remain in track only.

In India all forms of child pornography is totally banned. All activities like production, sale, possession, distribution etc. of materials related to child pornography is illegal and is a punishable offence. The Information Technology (Amendment) Bill makes creation and transmission of child pornography illegal. Even browsing on internet for child pornography may lead to five years imprisonment and a fine of to Rs. 10 lakh.
Worldwide, law regarding child pornography exist in 94 out of total 187 Interpol member countries. However still there are few countries in the world where it is not prohibited.
It is no doubt a heinous crime, but its existence, rather proliferation is indicative or pervert human behaviour. Unfortunately not only child pornography, but even child prostitution exist in the civil society of the 21st century.

Well porn videos must be kept out of reach from the children for that parents, friends, relatives and society is responsible. A boy cannot have access to such worst films, unless and until induced or introduced by some one. In Tamil there is a saying that we can know ones personality, if he tells the names of his close friends. On analyzing this saying it is clear that children are greatly influenced by opposite persons who can be any one. I know the arrested child is innocent and fallen pray in a racket, but the punishment seems to be necessary as the child should not have succumbed to the offer. However some decent thinking must be done by law enforcement agencies too.

Thanks for these valued information! But still I am in dark. I'm eager to find the logic, basically, based on which those countries do not feel to set up any rule on child pornography.

What is their thinking? Why are they not conscious on this fiendish activities while always try to established their superiority?

It can be supported neither mentally nor physically. In such circumstances how it is accepted even in 21st century!

In all the countries of the world child abuse is a legally punishable crime. Only some of the countries have laws banning child pornography and some of the countries may not have specific laws. That does not mean that child pornography is legal in those countries. They just do not have any laws. The child abuse is there all over the world including India. People with perverted minds resort to child abuse or enjoying child pornography. In India even viewing a video containing child porn is a cyber crime.

Chaitali (569014 ) - Some of the countries where child pornography is not illegal are Benin, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Palau, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Uganda etc. In Malaysia also possession, sale, production and sale of child pornographic material is legal and in Japan the same is legal in fictional form.
Child pornography is only a part of child sexual abuse which is a major problem of the world including India. A large number of children in India are sexually abused by known persons like relatives, neighbors etc., though most of such cases go unreported due to poor awareness, associated social stigma and negligence etc. One in every three rape victim is a child. In a survey conducted by one NGO in India among a select group, it was found that 76% of surveyed individuals admitted that they were abused in childhood or during adolescence.
It is a bitter truth that child abuse is existing in society despite existence of so many laws. Only society is responsible for it.
