Hilarious: Asked for ‘map’ (;mafi' in Hindi/apology), IAS Officer posts a map on Facebook

In a war of words between Congress MP from Kozhikode, M. K. Raghavan, and District Collector, N. Prasanth, over use of funds under the MP Local Area Development Scheme popularly known as MPLADS, the latter (the District Collector) posted a map of Kunnamkulam Town of Thrissur District on Facebook on last Friday following the MP's call for a public apology. The word "map'' in Malayalam means apology, and the image of the map is being perceived as a satiric reply to Raghavan's call for an apology over the District Administration's apparent delay in sanctioning projects in his constituency.

    N. Prasanth has a huge following on social media, and the reply soon went viral.

This is the clear case joke on how a word of other language conveys different meaning to others when taken otherwise. The spat between the two seems to be interesting because it is happening in most literate state of this Nation.
