Is it good to change a college in second round of admission cycle?

Depending on the merit ranking, one can choose to take admission in a low priority college and course if the choice is not available.
The second and the third rounds are always late, sometimes after a couple of weeks of college starting.
Once the second round starts there is a dilemma:
    1. Should one stick to where already admitted?
    2. Or go for the second round and check if choice is obtained?

Such dilemmatic situations occur with most of the students/parent seeking admission in various courses. With so many options available for any student, it is always difficult to take a firm decision, primarily it involves financial implications. For taking admission in any college/course, fee has to be deposited and after deciding for joining a new college/course in the second/ third round of counselling, fee is required to be submitted afresh. Though there is provision for refund of fee deposited earlier in certain cases, but that takes quite sometime.
In view of the above, the decision about taking admission in subsequent rounds depends primarily on the financial condition of the students/parents.
It is always advisable to go for a better college/stream of choice, in case made available in subsequent counselling rounds provided financial conditions permit so. Also since the admission in subsequent counselling rounds in not assured, the offer made available in the first round should also not be ignored.
