    Health precautions to be taken during rains.

    Due to fluctuation in temperature during rains, many people catch cold/flu and water/food borne diseases. Therefore it is imperative to take certain precaution to prevent such occurrences. Some of such precautions are as follows -
    1. In case hairs get wet due to rains, avoid entering an air conditioned room. Such people are likely to catch cold/flu easily.
    2. Increase the intake of vitamin C which is likely to help in keeping the cold viruses at bay by activating the antibodies.
    3. Taking shower after getting wet in rains prevents from many possible infections.
    4. Never walk in dirty water during rains which is a breeding ground of many viral and bacterial infections.
    5. Avoid eating uncooked food and leafy vegetables and fruits.
    6. Be careful in taking water outdoor. Totally avoid tap water and drink packaged water only in case necessary.

    The major reason of unhealthy in rainy season is due to eating and drinking unhygienic eatables. Due to lack of sunlight in rainy days the bad bacteria or germs are turn out to be vigorous; due to which we must drink boiled water and fresh / hot cooked items instead of any outside fast foods.

    While staying in house, we must close all the doors and windows to block mosquitoes and other insects which are harmful children and everyone. While sleeping we must use mosquito nets to be protected from mosquitoes that causes to dengue or malaria like diseases.

    Nice health tips Mr. Kailash Kumar. These are some others to be followed during rains to avoid ill health.
    1) Protect yourself from mosquitoes etc,. using mosquito nets etc,. to avoid diseases.
    2) Stay away from wet walls if you have asthma or diabetes because it may lead to development of fungus.
    3) Drink teas with antibacterial properties like green tea etc,. Consume dry fruits and boiled water if possible.
    4) It is not advisable to drink milk during rains. Instead, consume its condensed forms like curd etc,.
    5) Do not eat spicy food. During rains, we get inclined towards spicy foods. Eating them may lead to skin allergies and irritations.

    I generally take bath with warm water during rainy season and winter. I also take comfortably warm water boiled with a teaspoon of coriander and jeera seeds.

    Appreciation to the author for giving good tips to take care during the rainy season which gives challenging moments to everyone. It is natural that during rainy season we feel like eating some hot snacks and surely the road side Mirch Bajji fellow be the attraction. But please take care that the street vendor is preparing the items without having protection to prevent dust and other possible inclusion to the oil which is being used to cook. Better to avoid eating at those places and instead prefer to make the same at home and have it with your family and children. Instead of having normal tea, have tea prepared from Dania powder which is good for this season.

    Incidentally eating bitter vegetables like bitter gourd, and other bitter tasting items like neem, turmeric powder and fenugreek seeds help in preventing infections.
    Too spicy/hot foods increase body temperature and stimulate blood circulation which may lead to allergies, skin irritation, boils, change in skin color, dullness, rashes, pyoderma etc.
    One has to be particularly careful about changing undergarments during monsoon season after getting wet outdoor.
