Tiger spotted at Askot (height 12000 ft.) of Uttarakhand!Generally tigers are animals of plain land. In a remarkable event, photographic evidences have been found of presence of tigers at Askot in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Askot is located at a height of 12000 ft. from the sea-level.
During the British period, some stories used to be hard that tigers were found at Askot and its vicinity (Jim Corbett stories), but this is the first time, evidence has been gathered to support an substantiate such stories.
