Meaning of good and evil! Now define good to me. Now define evil. Can you? No! Because there is neither good nor evil.
What was Mahatma Gandhi's inspiration to fight for freedom? What was Adolf Hitler's motivation?
Answer- Bhagavad Gita. Yes both Gandhi and Hitler read Bhagavad Gita, while one saw it as a universal peace doctrine other saw it as a weapon of mass-destruction.
So is Gita good or bad? Knowledge is neither good nor bad.
So are actions good and bad? No. Actions are done according to duties. Can duty be good or bad? No.
Then how do we bluntly classify people as good and bad, on what basis?
Were Kauravas evil? Nay, they were just claiming their heritage. Was Hiranyakashyapa evil? Nay, if you worked hard and finally overthrew the king of gods, you aren't evil, you are great.
Nothing ever was evil and nothing ever was good. But we never cease prejudicing.
Were Kauravas adharmis? How on earth? They were just few princes who legitimately claimed their father's thrown. And as per law they inherited it. As for Pandavas, the throne was never their's.
Weren't Kauravas fighting for their rights? Then why would God help Pandavas to kill the righteous owners of the throne and abduct it?
No matter how wrong your sibling is, are you just enough to kill him?
Conclusion: History is filled with struggle. Our only dharma is to be competitive enough and to not succumb in this race. And anything you do to survive is your dharma, there is neither good nor evil.
