Has the Govt. of India taken any steps so far to achieve Kalam’s Vision 2020?

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Vision 2020 is to convert India into a developed nation. As per Kalam's Vision 2020, innovation and development should be done in the field of Agriculture, Food processing, Education, Health care, Information and Communication technology, nuclear technology, space technology and Defense technology. Development in the above mentioned fields will double the growth rate of GDP and which in turn will help the nation to achieve the 'Vision of India 2020'.

The population of India is more than 1.2 billion and the land is rich in resources and minerals. But still India is lagging somewhere and the status of the country has not changed from a 'developing country' to a 'developed country'. Poverty, unemployment, illiteracy are still seen in our Nation. Corruption is another major problem in India which pulls down the economic status of the Nation.

Converting a Nation into a developed country is definitely a lengthy process and it needs a series of steps and positive actions to achieve it.

What serious steps should India follow to achieve Kalam's Vision 2020? Has the Government of India taken any steps so far to achieve Vision 2020?

Glad that the author has reminded the Nation the great vision of former President APJ Abul Kalaam who envisaged integrating of all the rivers across the country so that every state would be fertile and that will also the curtail the wastage flow of rivers towards the oceans. Surely our PM Modi always respects the sentiments and will of every senior Icons of this country and he is well aware of the vision of Kalaam too. Now he is busy with demonetization effort and surely if APJ Kalaam was alive today, he would be have been the first person to have given congrats message to our PM on demonetization.
