Project works given to students must be done by themselves or with parents help ?

Now a days the schools are giving more project works to the student to see their creative talent hidden in them and by asking to prepare various characters or charts on different occasions, the students are put to creative ideas. But that is becoming additional burden for the parents. When ever a project work is given, it is the parent who are going to toil and not the students. Mind it parents are more worried about his studies and does not want him to waste time on projects. So they do the needful and thus the opportunity to make a project by student himself is denied. Then what is the use of such projects ?

I think students need to learn how to be independent. So they have to do on their own. But up-to 5th standard I am guessing it's better to take help. after that habit must be formed for being independent.

Most of the college level students too take help and outsource the project outside. But it all comes down to time saved and the lessons learned. some of the time taking help saves the time so student do that. Everything needs to be part of experience. That's what projects are meant for. Rest is upto students, their parents and education system.

In to days world the education system has grown with leaps and bounds. What we read in graduation is now taught in schools. Home work given to students is accordingly more and more tougher. The question regarding quantum of help parents are supposed to provide to their children requires a deep inspection.
Parents have to maintain a balance when extending help to their children. If they do everything their selves, the child will become dumb. On the other side too little of help will make them weak and create a repulsion to the studies.
Parents having patience and endurance can achieve this balance by slowly helping the children wherever required and leaving them on their own other times.

    Knowledge is power.
