    Automatic locking of threads

Why does a particular thread gets locked automatically after few responses even when the discussion is positive?
  • #587754
When the ISC editors feel that the thread has already received some good responses and if the thread is deviating from members responses, the editors have right to lock the thread and thus stop further damage.

    Dear member,
No thread will get locked automatically. There are Editors who lock the thread manually. Unpleasant and irrelevant threads, repetition of threads, duplicate threads, responses posted for threads older than 10 days are locked by editors.

Mr. Kandampally: Even if you think that the discussion is going towards positive direction, the Editors may not think so. An Editor has power to lock or delete a thread using his/her own discretionary power. The latest order of ISC in this regard can be read as under:-
Complaint of early locking of threads or deletion - now open for discussion
