The six enemies of our mind!

The six enemies of our mind Kama, krodha, lobha, Madha, moha, matsarya in defining each of them like this Kama (desire), Krodha (angry), lobha (greed), moha (love), mada (pride), matsarya (Jealous) if you want to become a noble man you need to vanish these six enemies from our mind. In Sanskrit Vedas they are called as arishadvarga. But people who are called to be saints or preachers or prophets when they come for Television debates they are missing all these especially Krodha. .

Nice thread once again. Once we are born as a human being, no matter may be saint or rishi, we cannot control the inherited qualities and that would be visible to others so naturally. Kama, the desire is the natural reaction of human being and that cannot be concealed or diverted. Krodha, the angry in us is being ignited by opposite person by making castigating remark which makes us uncontrollable. Lobha, the greed in us is very bad quality. Every one wants to get rid of it, but selfishness and want to be one step ahead of others would make us more greedy. Moha, the love is associated with our closeness or understanding of thing or person and that cannot be dispensed with. Mada or pride is the selfish attitude we always display in front of others and that is dangerous trend. And lastly Matsarya or jealous is the natural reaction over others progress. So my explanation stands good for the question asked here in.

In our Vedas and Upnishads there are many beautiful things explained in details and the learning from them are the true treasure for a reader. By reading the above thread I am reminded of some of those great works by our saints. The essence of same is very well presented by Bhusan in this thread.
We as humans are always having these enemies within and due to which we are suffering. Most of the misery in life can be eradicated if we get rid of these Doshas (bad things). They are inherent but with practice and meditation these can be reduced to bare minimum making life happier.
Our saints were far ahead in controlling those vices through Yogic and transcendental activities. If we give primary importance to peace of mind then these things will come automatically in our life style.

    Knowledge is power.

Thanks for your acknowledgment both Umesh and Mohan
A blunt knife or rusted knife can't be useful for anything just for the sake we call it as the knife similar to PayTM series or Sachin or Virat records.

It's wonderful right! Even Christians believe that there are 7 deadly sins that corrupts a human soul. These are similar to the six enemies of mind.
    1. Pride
    2. Lust
    3. Envy
    4. Sloth
    5. Wrath
    6, Gluttony
    7. Greed

These are the 7 deadly sins that a human or say a Christian shall never commit.
    Although not sinning is impossible.
I try to keep them in check.
