its a good idea.but, the competition should be a useful one and also every body should enjoy that and it should be taken sportively.try to think regarding this and decide a good compitative game.i will also try myself.
if we do these type of things then the members of our channel will be increased and also our channel will get good importance.

every month begining, a competition should be introduced and at the end of the month, winner should be announced.but that entry should be sent as PM or as personal to webmaster with in the allotted time limit.i.e other members shouldnot get to read it.After analysing the various posts,wemmasters should declare the deserving candidate as the winner with reasons (if any) why such he/she is chosen,what was extradionaty in his writings?then,the winner's entry can be posted to public for members to read the winning post.
this will be better i think.

Thank you friends for immediatly responding .We can try vellamji's idea ie sending post to the webmaster .It is not possible to have competition every week as there won't be enough time to check all the post ,once in a month would be ideal.We can have a separate category for competitions ,then there won't be any chance of anyone missing it.

If you have any delicious recipe share it with others and be eligible for the prizes in our "Recipe of the Week Contest".
LOGO FOR ISC :
We can ask our members to create logo for ISC and the best logo will be selected and rewarded.
CRESCENT GAME :
This game is nothing just a clue game. I will be having 10 questions totally. I will ask the first question if anybody answer that question correctly, i will give the clue for the second question which is hidden in our website itself . Using that clue he/she would be answer second question . Likewise, if anybody finishes all the answers correctly taking less time should be rewarded and announced as winner of the day.
QUIZ COMPETITION :
Here is another competition, we can make a quiz competition tab in ISC with automated timing, a set of question will be asked. For each member oly one chance to answer those questions. Whom will answer in quick time will be rewarded for that day.
ARTICLE ABOUT ISC COMPETITION:
In resource section you can made selection as India Study Channel. In that section each member can post their article and their experience in ISC. That should be about ISC only. Each member will be given only one posting a day. If they post more than one posting in that section, only first posted resource will be approved others will be deleted. One of the most impressive resource should be rewarded.

Wonderful suggestions. I like the CRESCENT GAME and Quiz competition in particular. I will create a category called QUIZ in the forum. You can start both the games there and let us see the responses. Once members start participating actively, then we can announce some gifts/winners.
If everything work out well, we can implement a separate feature for such competitions.

My suggestion upon the logo is,
Do not change the logo because, the logo looks pretty good.
There is a guru and the students and guru interacting with those students.
Where this logo is not an Image,It is an gif file.
Which is an animated one.
Nice one.

One more competition that i want to suggest is "Quotation of the day" competition. The members can post good quotation on different topics like "Friendship", "Love", "Marriage", "Women", "Children", "Famous quotations", etc.

From My point of view Ccompetition is very tough in ISC.We can learn lots of things from ISC,but from earning point of view while learning sounds good but it is quite tough.
If you want to earn while learning you have to be very clever and active in every field from which your income is generated.
Earning good money has never been easy since long and long years ago.
