The D day for AIADMK today.

    Dear Members,
Today is the D day for AIADMK Sasi(EPS)camp to prove its majority in the Tamilnadu Assembly. Will the present CM EPS, the proxy of jailed Sasikala win and continue as CM of TN?

The speaker of the Tamilnadu Assembly has not acceded to the request of Mr. Panner Selvam to hold secret ballot voting. On the other hand, there is the possibility of cancellation of Assembly membership due to anti-defection law if the AIADMK MLAs ignore the whip. So, at present, EPS has strong possibiity of winning. However, there is nothing called 'impossible' in politics.
    Caution: Explosive. Handle with care.

For the first time there is total confusion in the Tamil Nadu politics. First of all when Shashikala was at the command, she did have control over all the MLA's virtually kept in the resort. After her arrest, she made Palaniswamy as confident and he eventually got selected as CM. Now the latest buss is that about 30 MLA's are against him in his own camp. DMK, Congress, Muslim League, and Pannerselvam Group would vote against the Palaniswamy. So he is going to loose this floor test and eventually the governor would be forced to promulgate President rule in TN.

There are AIADMK ministers who want to continue as ministers will vote for EPS. But there are many sincere MLAs in VKS camp who are against EPS, and might jump over to OPS camp, not minding losing their membership in the Assembly. Nothing can be said now. TN Assembly might turn a battlefield and president rule is likely to be imposed.

    @ Update
The voting could not take place as scheduled at 1100 hrs today due to heavy protest by the OPS camp and opposition parties seeking a secret ballot for the confidence motion moved by EPS. The speaker has refused to yield to the request of the opposition members. The situation turned different and heavy noise prevailed. The speaker postponed it to 1300 hrs. Heavy police force has been deployed .

    @ Update
The proceedings postponed to 1500 hrs. Speaker ordered to expel all DMK members. Hallah Hullah in TN assembly. AIADMK members remain silent on their seats.

    @ update
EPS won the motion by 122 votes.
Stalin and his MLAs lodged a complaint with Governor stating that they were attacked, lifted and thrown out from the assembly hall, and the voting was not conducted in a democratic way in the absence of opposition party.

    OPS simply laughs as usual.

For the first time the voters in Tamil Nadu would be putting their head in shame as the ruling AIADMK members behaved unruly in the house and the voting was undertaken after the arrest of opposition leaders and others evicted from the house and thus what is the use of such democracy when there is more than half members protest against the present CM and he has occupied the seat with coercion and goondaism. Now let the members of the house go to their respective constituencies and see how the voters would welcome them. This is what even Kamala Hassan expressed with anger.

The opposition demand was much democratic. They wanted the MLAs should go back to their constituencies and meet their people to get their opinion as to whom to elect as their CM, and also for a secret voting to do justice to their own conscious. The opposition was right and speaker was wrong in denying their request. This has lead to severe tussle between the speaker and the opposition party. AIADMK doesn't like democracy but dictatorship. AIADMK has choosen a leader who is greedy of money through power, and also the CM who is her follower. Let us wait and watch TN how it progresses with their new commander in jail, and her proxy who is not liked by the public.

This is what I have also raised as the separate thread which was eventually put on hold and not allowed other members to participate. One thing is sure, TN people would vent their ire at every leader once they are spotted in the constituencies.
