Why is freedom of expression so selective in India? What a great country it is! We allow the human-termites who have a single mission, to speak before impressionable young minds . These human-termites want to destroy the edifice of the country. We support them in the name of freedom of expression. When we hear shouts and slogans like 'Kashmir mange azadi', 'Bastar mange azadi', we say that they are young people. They may be allowed to shout such slogans. It is quite alright! After all, freedom of expression has been guranteed by the Consitution of India.
On the other hand, when a Pakistani-Canadian named Tarek Fatah goes to purchase Urdu books at 'Jashn-e-Rekhta' festival, he gets heckled and almost lynched. When Shazia Ilmi goes to speak on triple talaq at Jamia Millia Islamia, she is not allowed to go there. Taslima Nasreen is not allowed to speak at Hyderabad. She is assaulted physically. We only notice, we don't utter even a single word of protest.
