Why is freedom of expression so selective in India?

What a great country it is! We allow the human-termites who have a single mission, to speak before impressionable young minds . These human-termites want to destroy the edifice of the country. We support them in the name of freedom of expression. When we hear shouts and slogans like 'Kashmir mange azadi', 'Bastar mange azadi', we say that they are young people. They may be allowed to shout such slogans. It is quite alright! After all, freedom of expression has been guranteed by the Consitution of India.

On the other hand, when a Pakistani-Canadian named Tarek Fatah goes to purchase Urdu books at 'Jashn-e-Rekhta' festival, he gets heckled and almost lynched. When Shazia Ilmi goes to speak on triple talaq at Jamia Millia Islamia, she is not allowed to go there. Taslima Nasreen is not allowed to speak at Hyderabad. She is assaulted physically. We only notice, we don't utter even a single word of protest.

Why is freedom of expression so selective in this great country?

Liberalism has selective sense of freedom of speech. Considering liberal people assume they are the one who are responsible for freedom of speech, they have right to defame and personal attack. Same if done by conservative then that's harmful and terrorism.

Dominant religion in a country under liberal environment is forced to adjust with minority. And as the dominant religion starts losing the grip on the minority religions. Then minority religion end up forcing their conservative rules on the majority religion.

Same case happened with US. Where Christianity was major religion and lot liberal than islam. Then suddenly questioning islam became crime in US and Swiss. And now the liberal attitude towards islam is soft that rapes from islamic migrants are ignored. And the questioning of islamic tourists in airport is also shamed.

Liberalism is the biggest farce todays time can show you. For example, liberals mocking other people is freedom of speech. You mocking liberal person is personal attack. Liberal defaming religion and your person life, is their freedom of speech, you making comment against liberalism is trolling and libel.

In India, liberalism has indeed become a farce. The fascists have started calling themselves liberal-that is the biggest joke.

What government feels that there are certain Individual who are known for the outspoken way and even if they utter one word against a certain religion, it is going to troll the whole media and thus becomes a new issue to tackle with. Freedom of expression should not be miss used by the selective Individuals under the garb of their expertise. They must understand that India is the country of many religion and even small utterance would taken as big and the actions are reactions takes place. Hence to further avoid flare up of violence through words some Individual are not allowed to talk.

We have freedom of speech. But some people don't want to change their ways of thinking ,so when someone focuses on those conservative ways of thinking .They become violent. It is n't a good sign for the democracy. They don't take interest to provide women their rights. On the other hand in a debate other party should give a chance to utter their voice.People should only judge ,what is right or wrong.

In a democracy sometimes the minority take advantage by seeking sympathy from the Government in the name of injustice and inequality.
The reality is totally different. Everyone in this country is getting equal opportunities and facilities but the Govt schemes and additional favilities to minority communities are increasing day by day.
Now the crux of problem is the behavior of these minorities communities who do not bother what they are speaking in the name of freedom of expression.
Unfortunately the ruling party who ever it may be tolerates these minorities to a greater extent than that of the other people. This is nothing but appeasement policy and these are the things which
lead to selective freedom of expression.
So ruling party for appeasing and opposition for votes create undue advantage to the minorities and minorities can talk any rubbish and get away with it.
