How Uma Bharti is likely to fare as the next Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh?

Uma Bharti is presently Union Cabinet Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. She was elected MP from Jhansi parliamentary constituency in the year 2014. Prior to that she was elected MLA, from Charkhari assembly constituency of district Mahoba in the year 2012.

She was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh during the period 8 December 2003 – 23 August 2004.

The results of assembly elections are to be announced tomorrow on 11.03.2017. In case BJP is able to get a majority, then leader of the legislature party will have to be elected who will become the Chief Minister of the Uttar Pradesh.

Taking into account her pro-Hindutva image, how she is likely to fare as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in case so happens?

I dont think Uma Bharathi will get the chance to become the next CM of UP. She is already in the powerful portfolio of the Union and that wont be disturbed. Yogi Adityanath and Keshav Mourya are already pitching their voice for the CM post in that state and making Uma Bharathi as CM is the remote chance. Moreover Prime Minister does not want to put a weak candidate in that state as the Congress and SP combine may create problem for the weak CM and hence a formidable candidate will be selected among the above two. But first let the BJP win the elections with good margin.
