Let us know about the new Chief Minister of Uttar PradeshAfter a long wait, BJP has declared that Yogi Aityanath would become the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is present MP from Gorakhpur. Yogi Adityanath is the five time member of Parliament from Gorakhpur since 1998. An internal survey conducted by the BJP before the election found him the most popular leader of BJP in UP.
Yogi is 46 years old. He was the youngest MP elected in 1998. Contrary to the perception created by the media, Yogi has been intimately associated with developmental aspects of Purbanchal (eastern UP). His participation and performance in the debates held in Lok Sabha prove the point. At the same time, he, as head of the monastic order, runs many schools, colleges and hospitals in Gorakhpur. During last five years, there were many religious riots everywhere in Uttar Pradesh, except in Gorakhpur. Yogi has kept the area firmly riot-free. Immediately after the announcement, the Yogi strictly instructed UP DGP to firmly control law and order situation in the state, particularly during the oath-taking ceremony.
In his Purbashram, Yogi-ji was Rajput by caste and held a B.Sc (Mathematics) Degree from Garhwal University.
He firmly believes in the slogan: "Development for all, appeasement to none".
Let's convey our best wishes to Yogi Adityanath. We hope that he would bring back the state in the road of all-inclusive development and prevent 'Kashmirisation' of Uttar Pradesh started during the previous regime.
