With modernization everyone is now celebrating New year on first January. In addition people are celebrating their cultural and traditional new year also which is falling on other days of the gregarion calender.

It shows that though we are becoming westernized day by day but still we are connected to our roots and traditions. This is remarkable as this is a thing which presents our identity to the whole world and emphasises how imperative our cultural roots are.

With all good wishes I extend a very happy year to all.

On this Hevalambi new year of Tamils across the globe I wish all the best and may all the pending wishes be granted this year. According to deeper predictions by the almanac readers, this year seems to be not good for the world. There would be so much heat. That means the summer is going to be hot in every state of the country , more than expected. There would be fire accidents across the world and many animals and lives would be lost with this natural disaster. Moreover corruption from Political leaders across the world would come to the fore and above all this year seems to be challenging for every one.
