Rukmini,
Thanks for bringing this into our attention. I do not think this will impact our site. However, I will check with Google and post an update here as soon as I hear from them.

I got a response from Google AdSense team and they confirmed that our Question Paper section does not violate the above mentioned AdSense policy. See their response below:

Hi Tony John -
I took a quick look at the page you mentioned and do not believe that it violates the AdSense policy prohibiting student essays.
Thanks for checking on this!
Regards,

Here is my original email to them:
From: India StudyChannel <indiastudychannel[AT]yahoo.com> Subject: AdSense Policy clarification Date: Sun, 14 Oct 2007 17:25:32 -0700 (PDT)
[NAME REMOVED],
I am Tony John, representing http://www.IndiaStudyChannel.com (AdSense API developer account Id: [REMOVED])
I just noticed the following section in the Google AdSense Program Policies:
Sites displaying Google ads may not include:
Sales or distribution of term papers or student essays
Our website http://www.IndiaStudyChannel.com targets students & teachers in India (schools as well as colleges). We do have a section for 'previous years question papers' (http://www.indiastudychannel.com/exams/). In this section, various teachers and professors from India contribute previous years university question papers. Previous years question papers are available in various school/college libraries and it is a well accepted practice in India to use them to prepare for up coming examination. The purpose of having a section for this in our site is to help students in India.
Does this violate the above mentioned AdSense policy ? Can we continue to use AdSense in the above section? Kindly clarify.
regards,
Tony John http://www.IndiaStudyChannel.com
