Great performance of Indian eves in the World Cup Championship

Prakash Padukone calls it the greatest performance of Indian badminton. Same is the opinion of Gopichand and other former badminton greats. Indian eves have broken the dominance of China. Saina Nehwal is presently in her twilight years in international badminton. But even then she won the bronze in the World Cup. However, there has much controversy on her hectic itinerary in this World Cup.

PV Sindhu has again made India proud. She played brilliantly throughout the tournament. And who can forget the epic battle between Sindhu and Okuhara (Japan) in the final? Although Sindhu lost the grueling battle, she has won the hearts of many.

Let us all congratulate these two badminton players, who have made the country proud.

Yes India is very proud of these two female players namely Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu who has brought laurels to the country through their badminton skills. It is indeed great effort from the coach Pullela Gopichand through his acamedy to give rigorous training to our players and see that they stand against the stiff competition from opponents across the world in badminton. This one more proves that , if there is platform to promote any sport, our youth and young ones who are having immense talent , can compete and bring laurels to themselves and for the country in the world of sports.

Really these two ladies made India proud. PV Sindhu even though lost in the finals, the way she played was excellent and gave a very tough time to the winner. I feel luck is not on her side. It is really a tough fight by her.Saina Nehwal won the bronze and she might have done better if the tour was planned a little better.
We should congratulate Gopichand for his service to the game through his academy. I hope he will produce further more players of high caliber with his dedicated service to uplift the game in our country. Fortunately both Andhra and Telangana governments are encouraging him in his dedicated service to the game.

I got the opportunity to watch the highlights of PV Sindhu's and Saina Nehwal's match. Both the matches were incredibly awesome. They are truly giving a tough time to the opponents.

Really glad that they are fighting against all the odds and playing for the country, we are indeed very proud of their performances and their achievement for the country. Would love to see much more rising stars.

I fully agree with you. We should congratulate these two gifted women athletes and other women who have done our country proud. Looking back to our school and college days, it would be a rare event to find a woman's name in the sports section that would be dominated by Indian cricket (national and international) and sportswomen from other countries. Since then Indian sports have come a long way, glad to see women featuring in track events, badminton, cricket, hockey etc. We as a country should encourage and groom such talent and potential from the school level so that the flag of Indian sports can keep flying flying high.
