There is no way of Controlling of AIDS in India as long as this follows:
FROM
Arvind Khamitkar , I.A.S,
Director of Medical & Research Div,Chennai

Dear Friends,

A few weeks ago, in a movie theater, a person felt
something poking from her seat
W hen she got up to see what it was, she found a
needle sticking out of the seat with a note attached saying

'You have just been infected by HIV'.

The disease control Center (in Paris ) reports many similar
events in many other cities recently. All tested needles were HIV Positive.

The Center also reports that needles have b een found
in cash dispensers at public banking machines. We ask everyone to use extreme caution when faced with
this kind of situation. All public chairs/seats should be inspected with vigilance and caution before use. A careful visual inspection should be enough.. In addition, they ask that each of you pass this message along to all members of your family and your friends of the potential danger.

Recently, one doctor has narrated a somewhat similar
instance that happened to one of his patients at the Priya Cinema in Delhi .. A young girl, engaged and about to be married in a couple of months, was pricked while the movie was going on. The tag with the needle had the message

'Welcome to the World of HIV family'.

Though the doctors told her family that it takes about 6
months before the virus grows strong enough to start
damaging the system and a healthy victim could survive about 5-6 years, the girl died in 4 months, perhaps more because of the 'Shock thought'.
We all have to be careful at public places, rest God help! Just think about saving a life by forwarding this message. Please, take a few seconds of your time to pass along.

With Regards, Arvind Khamitkar ,
I.A.S, Director of Medical & Research Div, Chennai.

I am a retina specialist.
AIDS patients are increasing at a very fast rate in india.India is at no.2 position. As heterosexuality & promiscuity is increasing, its difficult to control the rate at which AIDS is increasing. Also incidences like poking with infected needles at theatres & public places are rising. Youngsters have sex for a fun & do the mistake & get infected.Youngsters are coming closer as they work together in factories, call centres. Also many husbands stay away from families. These all factors have caused increase in extra-marital affairs.
Govt.should take steps to control AIDS.Research is ongoing to develop a vaccine.Use of condoms should be promoted.NGO's should come forward in screening prostitutes for HIV .

It is very difficult to control AIDS in india

AIDS can only be controlled by increasing awareness.

Why Not? If we follow the rule strictly that " Prevention is better than Cure"

hai,
fist of all i should thankyou for having brought in this topic for discussion which many people pretend not to let out............
As we all know that nowadays there is a sudden hike in the people being affected by this disease,IS THERE NOT ANY CONTROL FOR IT?????????
AIDS as in a advanced stage can be controlled by means of tablets and regular check ups.dont ever hesitate if you feel like you are being a victim of it.
also as many think it is a communicable disease,it is not so..it is not at all a communicable one through air ,water, towels ,ect.
it can only be transmitted by means of blood transfusions, having sex with multiple partners, needles useds by the victims etc.........

hi people,
Yes AIDS can be controlled in india. Its just the fact that we need to establish camps andhelp small meetings in villages in order to educated those people who have no idea what this disease can do.Our society needs to take a step forward and proper education should be provided in schools and villages as well as in towns.
