Is it better to have an election to choose an opposition party in Gujarat?

In Modi's governance or Modi's slogan, 'everything is for Gujarat every one is from Gujarat'. .Do you think it is better to have an election to choose an opposition party in Gujarat Assembly elections rather having an election to choose a winner which is a regular thing because we know that in Gujarat B.J.P will definitely win the assembly elections and there is no need for an election again and its a wastage of money?Do you agree with me?Knowledgeable members, please respond to the question

Well in democracy you cannot take the voters for granted. Though Modi is famous and churned Gujarat, it is not always possible to win hands down. Opposition parties are doing hard meetings to convince the voters about the wrong doings of Modi government and sometimes the voters may go with Congress musings. So Amit Shah and PM Modi should not think that their votes are in tact. Congress wants desperate win this time and they are doing all gimmicks to win the voters and BJP should not lag behind to expose the Congress bad deeds to woo the voters.

Even if the Election Commission of India (ECI) accepts the proposal of the author to have an election to choose the main opposition party to BJP, it would cause huge expenditure from public exchequer. The basic flaw in this thinking is to consider election expenditure as wastage of money. It is not wastage of money-rather it is a necessary expenditure which helps in the development of the country, in an indirect manner. It is just like spending money by parents for the education of their children, even if the parents know that they would not be able to enjoy the fruits.

B.J.P will definitely win and there is no second thought in it.If it will not happen Modi should be immediately stepped out from Prime Minister. I don't think it will not going to happen.

The traders in Surat are so furious that they have printed slogans on their bill books against BJP for their worst sufferings during demonetisation and Congress is supporting them.

As felt by the author BJP win is on the cards. My feeling is that already voters made up their mind. I feel that election expenses are not a waste. This is an investment for the progress of the country if the elected party struggle for the same. Otherwise the elected party people will develop. As a matter of fact it is good for the voters also to know how important is their vote. We can,'t forecast the mind of the voter. As on date BJP is the front runner. At the same tine we don't know in the last point there may de an unexpected twist. So our calculation may go wrong in the last.Election will be mandatory even it is a cake walk.Tilll last moment there willl be shift.

Even ten days ago, the so-called liberal journalists (no need to take names) were predicting a very tough fight for BJP, some even indirectly hinted BJP's defeat by rejuvenated Congress led by a fresh leader named Rahul Gandhi. However, during last ten days Congress has been scoring one after another spectacular self-goal. After its spectacular defeat at UP civic elections including Amethi, Congress has been facing an open revolt by Shehzad Poonawalla. At the same time, Hindu-Non-Hindu-Jain-Christian controversy is getting bigger.

Yesterday onwards those liberal journalists have been admitting that BJP is going to win Gujarat. Now the question is whether the party is going to achieve the target of 150 seats out of 186.

The present proposal of the author has no meaning in the democratic system of governance.

In the recent past during election rallies in Gujarat, the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was very critical of our PM Modi and NDA ruling since 3 and half years and he was very angry over demonetisation and also GST. It has to be mentioned here that under former PM only the UPA and Congress leaders indulged in large scale corruption and how come Manmohan Singh can easily forget those miss deeds. By the way Congress is facilitating the winning for BJP if they keep on allowing such statements which has no meaning in present context.

Regionalism will play a huge role in Gujarat Elections.Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah who play a pivotal role at National Level will be the only factor to win in Gujarat Assembly Elections. There are no other strategies and analysis required. Why Media is creating a contest that there should be some interesting news read and watch by the people so they want to make something out of nothing.

It's a nice thought, no harm in thinking out of the box, but no race is won before the finishing line is crossed. BJP would win but as Mr.Partha has quoted, we need to see its margin and majority. Elections are the threads of the democratic fabric in India, its process cannot be changed in this manner. Poonawalla has made an open remark challenging Rahul Gandhi's new role as a selection not an election to the party's highest office. The Maharashtra Congress unit has distanced itself from Shehzad. This one-man rebellion and the UP debacle would certainly hurt the game plan that Congress and Hardik Patel (he also has allegations against his conduct, will have to wait and see the official version) have in mind.

BJP might win in Gujarat, it just an assumption. We never know how the voters are going to vote until the election results are declared. India being a democratic country election is required. Finding the opposition party is also expensive, and also I personally do not find a need for it. How us it going to help the state by finding the opposition party.

Also, when elections are there, people get a chance to select their ruler. Not all the people in Gujarat are favoring BJP. They might be the minority but in a democratic system they too should be given a chance to show their feelings and to vote for the party they prefer.

We can't take things for granted just because BJP has won previously. People's mind can be changed. What if someone who supported BJP last time is not happy with them anymore and want to choose a different party. Let the voters cast their votes according to their discretion. We will wait for the results and will keep supporting the party we like as we have no right to force others.
