Sunset is for a new dawn, year end is for the dawn of a new year.

Even the sunset is enjoyed by people thronging to the western side beaches. They are sure that the darkness after sunset is just temporary. The sun is shining in another place and is to return with a new dawn. That is why no one feels sad when the sun sets for the day. Similarly, the year end too. Just before the old year ends, the celebrations start. Celebrations because we are sure a new year is dawning.

So we are now in the last few minutes of the year 2017. But do not regret, a new and bright 2018 is ready to take over.

    Happy new year.

It seems the author has taken the credit of posting the last thread of the year with a nice signing off thought emanated through this thread. Yes the year that was has came to an end. For some it was it was so bright year. For example PM Modi must have been the happiest person as he won two elections and adding kitty to his surging popularity. For Rahul Gandhi he must thank his mother and Congress party in reposing faith and give him the wand of Party President. Likewise our President Ramnath Kovind and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu must be basking in glory for their positions today.

A human being is optimistic. He will always try to see light in darkness always. The God also has given the potential to see also in dark by the automatic change in the retina of the eye. The people who are happy in the year say farewell to that year and hope for the same trend in the year that is going to start the next moment. People who faced some difficulties also will fare the year happily thing that the year that is passing will take away are their problems and the coming year will bring them many happy moments. As long as we are of the hope that whatever is happening for our betterment only we can be happy and need not worry about the things. We should be optimistic and be expecting all happiness only throughout the coming year. A happy new year to all.

An excellent last Forum post of 2017. Yes, we have to accept sunset and wait for a new dawn which promises better prospects in every arena of life.

It is believed by many that even the first dawn of mankind was preceded by an evening sunset followed by the dawn of the day. Darkness giving way to light, similarly the sunset of last night, last year has certainly given way to sunrise today, the first day of the new year. People around the world would have had their share of joy and sorrow but this new dawn is special to them as they embrace it with hope. Hope that this year would be better, bring more joy and success, hope that they grow and achieve targets that are important to them. But among all the humans, blessed are the few unique individuals who just went to bed being thankful to God and woke up being happy and contented without unrealistic wishes and demands. When the number of such simple-minded people increase all around us, peace will prevail and automatically prosperity is ushered in and the world would be a better place. Wish you all a Happy New Year.

It is ironic that most of us have witnessed more sunsets than sunrise. Sunsets give us more celebration than sunrise.
That is why Kanyakumari is considered unique, because we can see sunset and sunrise, better than in other places. In other places either the sunrise can be witnessed nicely ,at other places only sunset.

A story related to Leonardo Da Vinci is like this. A boy brought a painting he mad and showed to Davinci. The boy asked Da Vinci to say whether the painting is of Sunrise or Sunset. Da Vinci correctly replied that it was of Sunset. On the boy's query how correctly he guessed it, Da Vinci just replied that how could the boy have sen a real sunrise when he is a late riser.

Most of us are 'late risers' in our daily life and so miss the sunrise.
