On this Martyrs day let us observe 2 minutes silence at the stroke of 11 AM this morning

On this day, our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was assassinated and India has been observing this day as the Martyr's day to give glowing tributes not only to Gandhiji but also to many freedom fighters who gave their precious lives for the cause of freedom. By standing up for two minutes in silence at the stroke of eleven this morning, we can express our gratitude to them for their sacrifices. Even if you are driving the vehicle, please take it aside for two minutes , stand up and give respect to those great souls.

Yes, today is Martyrs' Day. All of us must observe silence at 11 a.m. Those who work in Government Offices will follow the procedure meticulously.
Non-violence is the greatest Dharma; So too is all righteous violence.

Let us remember, on this Martyr's Day, not to ever forget the sacrifices by those who fought for the freedom of this nation. And, let us pay our tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation.
