Looking young and slim at the cost of health.

All of us would like to look trim and young. But should we compromise on our health to achieve a figure or looks that we desire? This is a pertinent issue and needs to be discussed keeping aside the 'personal choice' factor.

Today, people have become quite conscious of their figures and looks. Some of them are so much obsessive about it that they go for many medical treatments and surgeries to improve their looks through plastic surgery or other modern tools. Some of them take even medicines for a long time to achieve the results.

Unfortunately, some of these measures are affecting the health of individuals though they are not bothering about it much.

Artificial implants and tuck surgeries are being undertaken by the people to enhance their get up though, many times, these are associated with health hazards also.

What is the opinion of the members on this? Should we go for these artificial ways to enhance our looks?

Overweight and obesity are not good for the health. They cause many problems like BP, Sugar and health problems. So we should do exercises and be walking and see that we will not have unnecessary fat in our body. We should have controlled diet and healthy eating habits. But some people try to go for unwanted surgeries and other methods to reduce their weight. But I feel they are not advisable. They may give you other problems to your body. So no one should think of going for these unwanted methods which will give you unnecessary health hazards. Keeping fit is always important, but use only good methods which are not going to create any complications to your health and have a long life. Don't get it cut short through unnecessary treatments for slimness.

Very good topic by the author, I strongly oppose medical treatments. As we believe earth is round and moving same wise we should try to accept our age at times. Only thing we should not become overweight by just assuming junk foods. In fact, we can stay healthy by in-taking good nutritious food. Health is wealth always.

In my opinion, people should not go for such artificial means to maintain their physique and outward appearance. Instead they should try to maintain their health and wellbeing by adopting correct lifestyle including physical exercise, proper nutrition and yoga/meditation.

However, people in glamour industry like movies, modelling and celebrities in other walks of life who are required to showcase their physical appearance, often resort to practices like Botox treatment and cosmetic surgery etc.
