No Plastics instead use Containers, plates, cups and trays made of betel leaf, bamboo and wood

One must appreciated the Maharastra government that it had completely banned the plastic items from today ie means one should not use plastic items including carry bags, disposable cutlery and thermocol from today. The violation will attract penalty ranging from Rs 5,000- Rs 25,000. I think other states must also take cue from this and see that only cloth bags or paper bags are used widely hence forth and even in Railways the distribution of food in plastic tray must be discontinued immediately.

It is good that Maharastra Government has banned Plastic items from today. Nobody is supposed to use plastic bags. Did they mention anything about the thickness of the plastic which can't be used or completely plastic? Thermocol and asbestos items are also very dangerous for the environment and I am happy to know that they were also banned.
It is always advisable to use biodegradable bags instead of plastic bags. Cloth bags for repeated use are always advisable. Betel leave plates and banana leaves can be used instead of plastic trays and plates. Using bamboo is also result in cutting of trees which is not good.
