Many unwanted guests in Delhi during monsoonIt is reported that the monsoon is hesitatingly arriving in Delhi, There was a little bit of rain yesterday. It gave some respite from the hot and humid weather. But with the beginning of the monsoon, unwanted guests have also started arriving, even in the most modern localities. Three incidents of unwelcome guests happened yesterday itself.
A very big venomous cobra was found at the Govt. Senior Secondary School in Laxmi Bai Nagar. Laxmi Bai Nagar is in South-Central Delhi and is considered a posh locality in Delhi. The second cobra was found in the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus Girls' Wing (Lohit Hostel). The third guest was captured from the MCD Health Centre in Badli village. It hid in the almirah containing medicines.
All the three cobras have been captured by NGO Wildlife SOS. There have been no casualties. Besides these three cases, there are some more reports of sightings of cobra in Delhi and its outskirts.
So, Delhiites! Be careful a little bit, especially when you visit Nehru Park, Lodhi Garden, Talkatora Stadium, Garden of Five Senses, etc. in the evening.
