    Understanding dignity of work.

Many people have inhibition for doing menial works. They feel it below their dignity. They have so much resistance that they can not accept even the thought of doing them.

On the other hand, there are some people who do not mind doing small things irrespective of their status or position. These people are the real gems of our society and we should make them our role model.

What do you think about it?

There is nothing wrong to learn all works, no matter you need not work for others. But knowing every work would give added advantage. For example a MD of a company should know all the production facility work , so that he can rightly guide the workers. Like wise a Sales Manager should know the topography of entire area so that the sales man cannot bluff or take a ride saying wrong things. So there is a advantage to know all the work and one should not mean that it is degrading the dignity of labor. In fact those who are at the home , they can do all kinds of work giiving relief to the wife.

People who have inclination for show off and pomp and show only have such type of inhibitions. They will be reluctant to do anything which goes against their status.

Only those persons who do not mind doing all sort of works can be practically at ease in this world. Otherwise one will always be waiting for the helpers or servants and in fact will be totally dependent on tbem.

One should feel pride doing his own works as well some petit jobs time to time.

    Thoughts exchanged is knowledge gained.

Life is a teacher and it throws unexpected and many times unpleasant situations at us. No work is menial when you have bills to pay and food to put on the table. Even if you do not face such an extreme situation, you may have to work to keep your spirits up and alive. Sometimes to keep your mind engaged and active and some time for self -respect.
By the way, sometimes the so-called menial works teach us the biggest lessons of life. For example, a very high- profile, spiritual Guru makes his wealthy worshippers wash their own bathrooms when they come for a retreat to his ashram. It punctures their ego and brings them down to the ground levels. No spiritual discourse can make them learn such life lessons in any other way.

There are some people who think doing some works is below their status. Some people try to show up their status by going for unnecessary expenditure for false prestige. Both are not correct. When the question of survival comes we should not hesitate to take up the job which is available. If we think the available job is not good for our position and the job wanted is not available, then how to survive? We all should know that our kitchen should be running every day.
When you sit without any work your brain will become idle. An Idle brain is a devil's workshop. You will get into unnecessary thoughts and will spoil the life.
If you have an option definitely you can select the most suitable one but when there is no option you have to accept whatever comes your way and go ahead. My principle is to accept whatever comes and go for betterment from there.
