    The importance of silence.

We are living in a noisy environment. The sound of traffic, nearby TV, loudspeakers in religious places, children playing and fighting each other and many such actions going around are adding noise to the environment.

Sometimes we feel that we should be in a silent place so that we do not get disturbed and focus ourselves for peace and spiritual attainment. But it is not easy to get such opportunity in the hustle of modern times.

What is your feeling in this matter? Do we require such silent places sometime?

A nice thread. Truly we are living in an environment where there is a lot of hustle bustle everywhere. The silence that we are always looking and the peace that we want, we can only get at the night time, when the whole world sleeps. Silence is also an important need of life so that we can think about ourselves so that we can relax a bit of every piece in us. I think this type of silence and serenity we can find early in the morning from 4 am to 5 am. That time, very few people get awake and they also enjoy the ultimate silence around.

It is true that we are living in a noisy environment , no denying the fact. But is it the outer noise that is bothering us, or is it something else?

I believe it it is the inner clutter, inner noise that is the real cause of concern. And often, we are too busy to even bother to look inside, to observe what is going inside.

If we don't understand the problem fully, how are we going to resolve it. Because of our ignorance, we usually put the blame elsewhere.

When the mind is completely silent, outer noise doesn't bother much.

True. Silence is good. Silence makes us sharp. It allows us to concentrate and focus on our task. It makes us think in the correct way. Our thought process will be more active and the decisions that we arrive will also be better.
But silence is very bitter sometimes. When we are in grief we can't tolerate this heavy silence.
When we are happy also we need not sit silently. We go on laughing and enjoying. Such times silence will be very bitter.
But too much noise with loudspeakers heavy sounds with instruments, too many shoutings and mob shoutings are no way good for any purpose.
