Dasavatharam is good for a single watch. But make sure you are fresh and know the language and little bit of history.
The acting of 10 roles is interesting, done well but only drags the whole movie.
I personally saw only 2 hours of the movie and got bored by then. There were many in the audience walking out.
The first half hour is interesting and as it moves it starts dragging a lot. Maybe the climax maybe of interest.

I also heard that dasavatharam is boring and that many did not like it.
I personally prefer Madanakamarajan and Apoorva sahodarargal out of all Kamal Hasan movies. I would love to see the repeats even now.
They were so natural and so very funny that every one liked them.
He is a very good actor, with his ever changing make up and with beautiful and sensitive dialogue writing. He makes sure that his movies are different from the other day to day movies.
I am a fan of his versatileness but not all of his movies.

Well unfortunatly i haven't seen dasaavatharam but i heard from those who watched the movie that Asin was unbearable.I have no idea why they said that.My favorite kamal's movie would be Hey Ram and Alavandhan.Those two movies were simply superb .You will left speechless.Ofcourse Kamal has given more movies like that but these two movies was handled intelegentily.

I like "Nayagan", "Apporva sagodharrargal" very much. They are very very very good. He has proved his extreme level of acting and thus he deserves the title "ulaganayagan". I ve not seen "Dhasavatharam" yet. But heared it was faboulous and extraordinary.

Kamal hasan is a multi faceted personality.He is not only an actor but also a director, make up man,writer,dancer,singer...what not he can do any thing. Watch his earlier movies like "Mundram pirai", Paruvam padunaru,Nayakan,Pushpak,Sagara sangamam,Swathi mutyam,Apurva sahodaargal...every movie is a classic. In DASAVATHARAM also he acted in 10 roles very efficiently.No one can doubt his acting. So Kamal is undoubtedly a very good artiste of Indian cinema.

That's right Prabhakar,
he is undoubtedly a very good artist whoo can do different types of roles effortlessly.
He had proved that again with the "Avvai Shanmughi" female character that he played.
Nayagan was also very good. I have not seen the movie but have seen bits and pieces in the Television.
Kamalahasan has been an able successor to Shivaji Ganesan after he left the screen.
Each and every movie of Kamalahasan is different with his own artistic touch.
A simple comedy like Singaravelan proved to be a success with his comedy genius.
I have watched some of his movies when they appear in the television.
