More the population, more the crisis. There is already an employment crisis, food crisis, education crisis and what not. It is a very long list. Population can be controlled by the right way of creating awareness among people that population control is so important in today's modern world especially in India where the population density is the highest. Population control awareness message must be spread in the remote rural areas where the people aren't aware about population control.

World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. It was inspired by the public interest in Five Billion Day on July 11, 1987, approximately the date on which the world's population reached five billion people.
The world population on the 20th anniversary of Five Billion Day, July 11, 2007, was estimated to have been 6,727,551,263.
We can reduce population by:
Education : People need to learn that birth control is NOT a bad thing and stop buying into the ideal that big families are better. They are not, period
family planning : give incentives to small families Woman must be given more power in the society. Taxing : Give tax concession to one who has only one child Change the laws and implement common law for all religions irrespective of cast, colour and creed
Birth rate: The decrease in birthrate leads to decrease in population. Birth rate can be reduced by the use of contraception in order to avoid pregnancy.
Emigration: The increase in emigration leads to decrease in emigration. This occurs as a result of bad economy of such country or due to some following factors. For example: famine, drought, bad weather and climate of such country.
