Hi Sarikonda, Nice topic of discussion....but I dont know about others but in my case ofcourse I am eating to live..if we talk about the other exceptional cases I mean to say the other famous personality whow are known for their diet are...
1. Khali (WWE Wrestler) : Who eat 1.5 kilogram chicken daily. 2. Dhoni (Cricketer): Who take 4 litre milk daily.
I think the people like those mentioned above are eating to increase their stamina...and to be in competition. Because they work very hard...lose their energy...
Any other suggestion ..!!!

Dear Friend,
In my opinion one should eat to live not the other way and I am strictly maintaining this. I am 54 yrs old and my weight is just in proportion to my height(no over weight).I rarely hv stomach problems also.
One should always be very strict to ones eating habits. We should take our food be it break fast, lunch or dinner in correct time. Over eating and overfasting wl do harm to our health. Some people will hv their breakfast at 11 a.m in the morning and lunch at 3 P.M and dinner at 11 or 12 in the night. This is not at all advisable and not good for our health. The food we take in undergoes a very long digestive process before the body abstracts the very essence of the food and discard the wastage . It will flush out the unlimited and unwanted things put in by us (this causes indigestion).
If we know what and when we should eat then we can avoid problems like indigestion etc. We should not eat our stomach full . Always 1/4 of the stomach should be empty for free air movement. One should avoid more oily food . One should take more vegetables and fruits since our body will absorbe the essence of such food easily than cooked food.
One should always avoid taking untimely food .The food we eat has got very important part in framing one's character. As some of u are aware Bhagwan Sri Krishna advises Arjuna (Bhagvatgita) that the food of a sathvika should always promote longivity of life, intelligence, vigour, health and happiness

Hi,
As you say, it should be Eat to Live and not live to eat. Only then one can be live a healthy life and be happy.
If you live to eat, you can enjoy eating only for a short time. By that time you'll know what all diseases are there in the medical dictionary.
Gluttony as it is known is nothing but excessive eating and drinking. It will destroy your stomach and also your savings.
Try and lose your excess weight, your savings also wll increase. This is a new finding that people are coming out with. If you have a little common sense you can find that out yourself. When you spend less for your 'tasty' foods, you will save more. I have seen that myself.
Eat just what you need and live a healthy life. Health is wealth.

Eating healthy makes one live a happy and peaceful life. That is why our elders made weekly and monthly schedules of fasting. If you keep on dumping something into your stomach, at one point of time, the stomach is sure to go on a strike. If we eat healthy and eat to live, it will definitely give the necessary strength and stamina needed for our daily life. As Mrs. Nalini Sadasivam have said, timely meals, is absolutely necessary. Taking in lots of fruits, vegetables (if one is unable to take it raw, it could be half baked or made it as soup and juice). Oily and spicy food are also necessary, but it should be taken only in a limited quantity. All at the same time, one should also keep fit by doing regular exercises, walking etc.
