Hi Jose though I dont usually criticise or comment on mistakes but as it is a matter of independence of our country that is why I request you to edit and correct the spelling of independence which you have written indipendence.

The 61th Independence Day

We feel very proud to be an Indian on this day. As we got our freedom on this day after so much struggle and sacrificing. Now we are moving towards the development to meet the global challenges across the world. By 2020 we could be a developed country.
But I want to grab your attention towards the some areas :

* Our Indian Police is on th list of one of the most corrupted police across the world
* Our Indian politicians are so corrupted that they can do anything to remain in the govt.
* The conditions of farmers since the independence hasn't improve as it should be
* With the rising population and inflation govt. is failed to keep check on both
* And many more the list doesn't end......

I want to say is that its good to celebrate independence day but in the past 60 years what we have achieved and what we have lost is the point which should be consider. So celebrate this day but take determine promise also that you will contribute in removing these evils so that our country become a Healthy and Developed India by 2020 and not just a developed country.

At this juncture of Indian history, I just wish our forefathers had the foresight like Gandhiji. He had predicted that in order for India to develop we need to develop our villages. Instead of just developing four or five metros, develop thousands of villages to be self sustainable units that will help the overall development of the country. We started developing all the metros and had all villagers leave their farms and go to the cities to make it too crowded and then we have started coming back to villages long neglected as the cities have become too crowded.

Make be we made the mistake of having too many eggs in one basket. Now is the time to rectify the error.

Independence Day !

At the present moment, we all seem to have forgotten the real meaning of this word. The word ' Independence ' does not bring the memories of the past to us, the sacrifice of great leaders who fought and lost their lives just because we can sit here relaxed and watch this message as YOU are watching it now... Independence day has now become a "holiday". This is one of the few days when you can get a chance to see any news of our freedom fighters and all in news channel, that too is becoming rare now.

See Independence day is not a day to celebrate according to me, its a day where eacch one of us should start changing a bit himself/herself for the sake of nation. We can do things like changing ourselves and becoming more independent ourselves. Many say India is rising, but it is so? The answer is not there...

Let us give our efforts from this day onwards and make a contribution to our nation today instead of celebrating the holiday ! Let us plant more trees, save energy, pay proper tax, remove bribery and all other things.....

If you dont do such things atleast say these words everyday once:
"India is Great and I have made it Great"

Contribute something to the nation...
Jai Hind.

Indepenedence Day of India - According to me, youths should celebrate and should know the meaning for independence.

Every youth should know about Independence. Because future India is in the hands of youths. But, no youth know about India's condition in workd stage.

Abdul kalam asked youths to dream. But youths misunderstand that quotes of abdul kalam and they are not awake from their sleep. They are dreaming about something greater but they are not "acting" on their path of dreams.
So, every India should follow the phrase "INDIA".
I-I
N-Never
D-Delay
I-In
A-Action.

If youths follow the phrase "INDIA" means , our country will be super power within 2 years.

Here, I have to tell one of my happening in my place. That is, many schools and other educational institues gave chocalates and flags to the students today itself. If this happenings continue means the future generation will celebrate Independence day on August 14 not on August 15.

After 61 years, we are still developing country because of corruption and other illegal activites. Every youth should raise against those things and they should ask questions on them.

Oh Future Hero of India,
Just awake from ur sleep and see ur independent land,
Awake and see,
Black thiefs in white coats around you,
Awake and see,
Bombs and Blasts kept around you,
Awake and see,
Castes fights makes heads rolling in the ground around you,
Awake and see,
Black Moneys undergrounded around you,
See the sun,
It sets in the evening quitely, But
Arise in the morning brightly....
See the fishes,
It is not asking its mother fish to how to swim,
See the Bees,
It is not asking the flower to get its own honey.
Why you are waiting for time to come,
Create the oppurtunity for ur won,
And make corrupted India as Corrected India.
And make 'Empty tally' of olympics to 'Plenty Tally'

Do ur action at the right time and make the India to be proud of
you.

And finally I am asking our youths to serve in our nation and not to go to foriegn countries to work. That will make again India as a "Slave Country".

Let freedom ring, let the white dove sing let the whole world know that
Today is a day of reckoning let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong roll
The stone away, let the guilty pay, it’s independence day of India.

Jai Hind !!!!!!

Bharath Sudar

"Bharat Hum Ko Jaan Se Pyara Hai,
Sabse Nyaara Gulistaan Hamara Hai."

Happy Independence Day to all.
According to a survey, India by 2010 will have the highest youth population in the world. This gives us the advantage, and it is upto us to make full use of it. Come on all the youngesters let us eradicate caste system, abolish child labour, remove poverty, through away corruption, fight together against terrorism, spread harmony, educate the illiterate, sow the seeds of peace and brotherhood.

HI " Happy Independence Day to all"

India became independent on 15th Aug 1947. We got our independence through many hardships. So many lives had been sacrificed on the altar of Independence. So many people gave everything they had for this great cause inspired by our great leaders. Mahathmaji told "India lives in her villages".

Even after 61 years of independence there are so many villages in our country which do not hv proper roads, schools , electricity etc. Our Government had introduced so many developmental programmes but still the situation of our remote villages continues more or less the same.

Now with regard to the so called developed areas . There also lives of the common man are miserable. If u want to get something done in Govt office -u hv to bribe from the lowest level to top .

As Mr.Bharat said every youth of this country shuold awake from his dreams and take a vow that "I will never delay in my action " .

We cannot correct the whole nation. Correct each one ourself then be proud to be an Indian. In this day of independence let each one of us take a resolution that we will protect our Independence , our cultural heritage at any cost.

Swami Vivekanda, the great son of India once said " Teach yourself/ teach everyone his/her real nature, call upon the sleeping soul and see how it awakes. Power will come, glory will come, goodness will come, purity will come and everything that is excellent will come, when this sleeping soul is roused to self-conscious activity"

So brothren, let us call our sleeping souls to consciousness and attain all that is good, glorious, pure and excellent.

I strongly believe in the famous wording by John F. Kennedy “Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, Ask What Can You Do For Your Country”.

Mostly people of India usually says like that What India did for me But they never think what they are doing for their Country. Nobody wants to come forward against any wrong activity happens in India like politics etc. Even our young generation don’t want to came forward, they only want to go to abroad and want to settle their. And they always usually say like that 'What India did for me', 'Is Desh ka Kuch nahi ho sakta' etc. In my personal opinion my many friends also says like this. And this is not good for our country India. I think this should not be happen in My Country India.

One more thing people are forgetting our Freedom Fighters like Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Kartar Singh and many more.

Please remember them all and speak proudly and loudly now “I Love My India"

And Always remember "Sare Jahan Se Acha Hindustan Hamara"

"Happy Independence Day"

"Jai Hind"

With Best Regards,
Manjit Singh

As the 61st independence day is about to go, I just want to mention my thought. I was really ashamed, worried or astonished about my feelings, because there were days when in this august day prisoners with good behaviour used to get freedom, everywhere there was a great celebration. But now a days fear of terrorism had created such a havoc that I have seen red alert at most of the auspicious places. We dont know where we are going...

Vande Mataram !!

The dawn of 15th of August 1947 brought a new morning ,a new life for a multitudinous natives of India.
'Independence' - India became independent to rule itself , we gained latitudinarism on this day.
For British it is a - STATESMAN DAY.
For Freedom-Fighters it is a - NOSTALGIA DAY.
For Mother India it is her - BIRTHDAY.
For all the Indians it is a - CELEBRATION DAY
For the world this day marks as a - TAKE NOTICE DAY for a super-power is Unleashing!!!

15th of August , a day to commemorate India's independence and India's freedom to step into a free world.
On this day , 61 years before India woke up to the World as an Independent Country .This day is less to celebrate and more to remember and be grateful to those freedom fighters who fought dead for their country's sake and the generations lying ahead. This day came as a new dawn in Indian History when the whole world welcomed India to its Autarchy.
This day in our history , signifies a feeling of solidarity , nationalism and celebration. But under all this celebration lies the deep-rooted love for our Motherland and the national spirit of gaiety and pride of being an Indian and the hope for a better future.
Each year this day gives us reason to contemplate what we have accomplished and how and then to celebrate an end to the centuries of struggles , battles and sacrifices .

But in all this have we really missed the true meaning of ' Independence' . Is Independence merely left for us only to enjoy and remember as a day when we got liberated from the tyranical rule of British. Is Independence left only to feel that we are liberated to do all that we want .No Indians wake up , Our Mother is calling us .Today our Nation is Bleeding under maladies of its own children.Independence DAy has to remembered as a day when we achieved success by the unity and love of its native .All fought against the British together .It was ONE FOR ALL and ALL FOR ONE. Where is this nationalism fled away now , why no feeling of such love for the nation is left in our hearts? Our we no longer Indians , was the love and responsibility lost with our Independence?
Yes friends we are free , free to live in the world , free to express our thoughts and feelings .Thus we are equally free to work and sacrifice our lives still for our nation .Our Mother still loves us but where is our love now?
Let each Independence Day be a day for us to pledge a new sacrifice for the prosperity and glory for our country. Let this day remind us of our responsibilities and love for our country.
Indians , lets rise and work for our Mother Land . She loves us and so should we.

So I have some words for my Motherland and this Independence day:
:
:
Our Indian Flag,Saffron,White and Green,
Is the most beautiful thing ever seen.
How it dances and flutters high,
Atop the highest peak touching the sky.
And when I sing our national song,
I feel really proud that I belong,
To a nation so big and wide,
"I am an Indian" ,I say with pride.
But this, my little heart has to say,
If each day becomes an Independence Day,
We can fight envy, war and greed.
We can conquer poverty and need.
Spread joy and happiness everywhere,
Give a smile here , a helping hand there.
We can end darkness by spreading light,
And make our country's future bright.

Oh! My wonderful Motherland!
I love my India and its golden sand.
India has a long history
It is the land of bloodless victory.
India, my heart, my desire , my passion;
You were and always will be in my imagination.
You were the ideal of every citizen of the world,
As the tricolour was slowly unfurled.
For you thousands of sons laid their lives,
And worked hard like bees in hives.
You are my parent,my teacher,
And sometime even my preacher.
My only wish is to be in my motherland
And bask in her golden sand.
To India,
To the land of mighty heroes,
To a land where people have learnt to overcome sorrows.
To a land where warriors have accepted challenges with courage,
To such a land we pay our homage.
To the mother who has provided us food ,shelter and life,
Without her, it isn't possible to survive.
I pay a tribute to my country to my land,
I salute India , my Motherland.

India,
Where my soul is free,
Where my eyes can see.
Where I like the dreams,
That were born to me.
Where the wild winds blow wide,
On the mountainside.
Where I want to lie,
Till the day I die.

I vow to thee my country,
All earthly things above;
Entire and whole and perfect,
The service of my love.
The love that asks no questions,
The love that stands the test;
That lays upon the altar,
The dearest and the best.
The love that never falters;
The love that pays the price,
The love that's never frightened,
To make any sacrifice.

Arise ! Awake ! ye millions,
All proud , brave Indians!
Lets stand hand in hand ,
Work and pray for India , our Mother Land.

India, my country I love you very well and on this 61st Independence day of yours greet you with all glory and success lying ahead. To my country and to it's glory I salute and bow down before her to show my gratitude of being an Indian.
I am proud to be an Indian .I am proud to be a citizen of a Free Country.
Enjoy your Freedom India , my Native Land.
Let all the citizens come together and join hands to make you prosper more ,
and to your glory and beauty add stars four.

Jai Hind !!

Independence Day thoughts-
First it is Sixty years after 1947; celebrating freedom from the British- it is a great moment to cherish the hard-won freedom! Really, for the current generation and the future ones, a free India is a given; near and distant histories have merged upon the horizon of time, with the Anglo rule seeming as ancient as Alexander, Allauddin Khilji and Aurangzeb, though all are separated by centuries. Maybe to some senior citizens the word freedom would, by natural association of thought mean 'from the British', but for today's gen freedom invariably means personal freedom!
The biggest question that the nation should have pondered over during this Independence Day according to me is well this was the 61st or 62nd Independence Day. There were fewer consensuses on this matter that it is possible on the nuclear deal over which there are more opinions than the total number of people ion this country. The point is there are many issues that hold us back from moving forward in par with other nations and we need to find the successful solutions to those. Then only celebrating Independence day would become more meaningful that is when we show the world we have achieved so much excellence after independence, so it is time we march ahead and take oath to doing something for our country instead of questioning what the country has done for us ?, as said by Abraham Lincoln rightly. My idea is we achieved Independence long back and in commemorating this great day we celebrate it with pomp and cheers all over India. Try your best to enjoy the independence that is hard won and let us keep in our memory the many who sacrificed their lives- and let us not forget the history and forge ahead into the future with confidence, promise and commitment to do our best to our country in whatever way we can be it even in paying the taxes properly so that we celebrate independence in it's true sense!
Tribute to all the heroes who fought for freedom and pledge to reach great heights in whatever we are involved to uphold the independence achieved!
So feel 'Proud to be an Indian!'
Happy Independence!!
Jai Hind!!!
