Hi Jose Mathew,
No I do not prefer harthals even once in a year. It will disturb the pulic life. Education will be disturbed mainly. People will break down the buses or trains or public transport. Who will bear the loss. Or we not the people who has to bear all this. If a bus is broken, the loss will be overcome by increasing the ticket fare. So the common man are the main persons who will have to bear all this. When we want something, I think we can fight for it without disturbing others daily routines. We can discuss and clear the problems. Why should we go for harthal.

May be you are right. But all days are not Sunday. All people are not same. Some people even hate the name of hartal.

Hartal or strike makes life of common people miserable. In India there are people who works on daily wages. They loose money for that particular day which is a very big loss for them All sorts of businesses gets affected. Moreover if you are travelling by Train or Plane , its schedules gets upset and there is chaos everywhere, in airport, railway station etc. School children miss their a days studies.
Generally I have noticed that Hartals are called on Friday so that leaders as well as common man enjoys long weekend.
Hartals are bad for the growth of our country.

Hi,
There is a sudden movements against the Harthal and Bandh all over the country after the recent strike. It is the high time to take more steps by the government and political parties to stop this.
For the better future of our nation it should be avoided.

NO harthal is not the solution of any problem. it overall effects the country .In abroad if HARTHAL is done and people doing it make any problem then the state govt have to pay for it

Hi friends,
I feel when one party of a set or people is doing harthal their demands should not be accepted, so that next time the other party will not even think of strike. The people who are doing strike or harthal should understand the effect of the strike on a common man who are earning their daily food by going for daily labour work. If they are not permitted to work then where is the food for them. We are doing strike by making other people to stay with empty stomach. How far it is correct.

First of all I want to laugh on myself as I couldnt understand the word harthal, the topic was given by Jose and I thought harthal must any software or something like that where my knowledge is zero. Still I opened the page and came to know that its about strike.
Have any one noticed most of the strikes are called either on Friday or Monday so that people may avail leave of continuous three days. This clearly indicates that the motto of strike never dominates. Its just a harrassment of people, patients suffer the most as they dont get communication to reach the hospital. And overall the persons on road who block the vehicle to favor strike doesnt know even why the strike is called??
Its a pity......

Harthal or strike is nothing but the protest of a group against something that they dont like.
how well do you think you can attract the attention of indian crowd which is so soft on everything. So many farms have lost their fertile lands to indsutrialisation and IT parks etc.,
They had protested in all ways when they didnt get any answer they had to go on harthal or strike.
One side gandhi was doing ahimsa propaganda and following the same but the other side it was subhash chandra bose who had killed the core of soldier and their ammunition.

I dont think strikes help anyone. It neither helps the people nor the country. it only leads to suffering. Some dumb people join the strikes just for fun. This shows the dedication of such people towards the country.
