It costs Rs: 2.24 Lakhs don't be surprised this is not an ordinary coin, only 3 of this kind was minted in India.

On august 15 2008 this coin was auctioned in Bangalore by famous collectors Farokh Todywala from Mumbai.

This coin was actually minted in the year 1960 as a test piece and was sent for approval of its design which was rejected so it didn't came to circulation.

Its an ordinary looking 1 Rupee coin but in different design but above the Number 1 it was typed as "sou naya paisa" that means hundred naya paise.

For your information a coin or currency collector is called as numismatist.
