Hi Tony!
Here i can't create a community!
May i know why?
Once i enter to any of the community, in the last there are two options "Create communities" and "make money from adsense revenue sharing program"
If i click "Create a community" means some error occurs!
And also if i click the other option "Make money from adsense revenue sharing program" means page cannot open, may be i think its a link problem!
Why i am telling link problem means if i want to go to the revenue sharing program means the link should be look like below
http://www.indiastudychannel.com/adsense/
But in that the link shoul be looked like
http://www.indiastudychannel.com/sites/adsense/
Here the extra navigation "Sites" entered! May be this caused the error to that link!
Kindly check these and update the correct details means, it will help us to make our community here!

Please go thro this problem and clear it as soon as possible!
We know the worth of our ISC website, but the same time if we alot a FAQ for this "Create Community" Section alone means it will give great help to us!
And we can easily understand all the things soon and we will give sure that our ISC will get the Great Fame soon too!

Hi Tony,
These are some bugs which i noticed in community feature
1) While editing communities, community owner are getting replaced with the editor who have edited the community.
2) Member Level inside the community is showing ISC's member level, it must be community's member level. (not in left panel, in postings)
3)After posting any forum message, if i click on that forum message link, its redirecting to home page.
4) My communities link in Community membership page redirecting to homepage.
5) Site owner link is deadlink.
Will let you know other bugs while i come across.

I have found the following bugs.
1. I have joined that Google adsense community and posted an article but not able to see the article. The link to the page is here.

It just opens up the main page of ISC.
2. I have started another community on Online Tutoring. The URL to the commynity is here.

I was able to start 6 categories in that community page. I have posted a thread in that community page. But when I try to open it, the main page of ISC opens up. Please check the link to that article below.

Hello,
I created community "CYGpune2008".This feature i really very good.
I got following errors/exceptions....
1.When i clicked on "Site Owner" under Manage Community,got
"An error occurred.
Specified cast is not valid."
2.About "Membership Levels" is OK.
3.About "Edit Forum Categories" OK
4.About "Set Invitation Code" OK
5.About "Add/Edit Logo" OK
6.About "Edit Site Information"
When i go here,the information I filled at community creation time will be displayed.Currently its not available.
7.About "Layout & Settings". After clicking got following error.
Server Error in '/' Application.
Value cannot be null.

Got another issues..
1.About "Site Configuration" ,"Forum" and "Sign out" under Links and My Profile section,got following for ALL

Whenever I am clicking edit site information, it is showing a window as posted below as an attachment. The fonts look out of the place. See to the problem.

When joining a community, the details of a person last joined comes up in all the fields and thus we need to edit it again and again which includes the name field and the about you field. Please check for the error.
We could have stickies to be paced in the forum just as we have in IndiaStudyChannel. If there are, can you show it to me. I didn't find the stickies option.
Tony can you give the option of selecting the font colours of different texts which can match with the background colour as all the background colours do not really match with the font colours which is black and blue.

I have found certain features and also text which I think you need to rethink about.
My question is I created the New Technolgy Community and now you are the owner of the Community, how did that change.
My Findings:
1) It should be only Orkut not Orkut communities.
2) Setup a discussion forum or resources section like indiastudychannel.com should be IndiaStudyChannel.
3) Instead of Village, I think City will be good.
4) And do all these without spending any money... All you need to spend is your time and use your business skills ! to change to "All you need to do is spend your time and use your business skills !"
5) http://www.indiastudychannel.com/sites/12/-New-Technology.aspx - Created by Me and now on Tony.
6) For a moderator he should not have a Join Now in the screen of his community. Every member sould have Join and Unjoin under My Profile.
7) Under My Profile : Name is not displayed.
8) There is no Home or Back tab or link: on the page once a person goes into the respective Communities.
9) We need to have a category for Technology.
In the Faq's

1) I think there should be a differentiate between the questions and answers.(Color (bold - questions)
2) You also need to provide a disclaimer for all community.
3) Strict rules for any certain community. ( Pornographic or any other related to it)

Any restriction to the number of communities to form. Butyou mentioned about the adsense revenue sharing from the community, even after contributing many resources and being a gold member my adsense is not approved yet from google and isc.
why there is this much delay. please advise i have idea to create community but the adsense is still pending.
any disadvantage because of this .
members i wait on your answers.

in addition to above mentioned bug. i found that the total points are not updating properly. i mean to say it is not dynamic.
There should be one place where each and every member has to know how person got the points. there is no place to see that.please provide one such option.

Hi Tony,
Small suggestion, it will be better if we give guidelines for Community owners and community members seperately within the same page.
Here are some points to be added in FAQ page,
1) What happens if a community owner's Adsense account gets Disapproved?
2) What happens if a community Member's Adsense account gets Disapproved?
3) Is there any restriction in the Number of Communities a menber can join?
4) Who will be responsible for any misuse of community like copyright violation and what will be the consequence of it?
5) Do the ISC Editors has Admin Rights in Community?
6) Can a Member get Adsense Revenue share from the Resources he submitted in the community?
Will let you know when some other thing comes in my mind.

Hi Tony,
There is one suggestion from my side -
Any post to the community should be first approved by community owner as he/she is responsible for the community and also for the content.
If content is not accordance with the Google Adsense, then the account of the community owner and the post owner will be banned.
Also please give rights to community owner to banned a member from his/her community, if he/she violates the posting guidelines.
Hoping above points are valid enough for consideration.....

The following bugs are fixed today:
1. An error was thrown when editing any forum message
2. All forum messages where listed 2 times in the forum index page
3. When an editor approve a community, the community owner is changed to the Editor's name.
4. Community owners were not able to see admin part while posting/edit any forum messages.
5. "Community Owner" page was giving an error if community owner has not joined as a member of his own communiyt. Now onwards, when a new community is created, the owner will be automatically joined. (For all the existing communities, the owners must Join as a member)
6. "Edit Community Membership" link added to the Site Configuration page.

Another issues.
1.When i click on submitted forum messages in Community, it gives me error as
" Column 'MembershipLevel' does not belong to table Table."
2.I created new categories in community.When i click on these it redirect to Home page of ISC.

Many issues are fixed. The communities feature look pretty stable now.
I am confident that we will be able to fix almost all issues within 1 week and launch this feature on 1 October 2008.
I am so excited about this feature. I believe this is the most interesting feature I have ever built in my 12 years of web development. This feature gives unlimited opportunities for our members to start their own web business and earn money from internet based on their marketting skills and dedication. And all all these can be done with 0 investment. Google has done a blessing to all of by offering this wonderful revenue sharing feature.

I agree with Ankush Dass. I hope this can be fixed. When a person joins a community all the fields can be left blank. Please check for the error and try to fix it.

one more bug i found was related to polls. i tried to create a new poll, but by mistake i clicked cancel it has thrown an error.

Yes, that is possible. For example, just above this, you posted a question totally un related to this thread. So, I marked it as SPAM and gave you -10 points (negative points). So your points are reduced by 10 in this case.

Without reading your suggestions above I have opened and faced some problems, which exactly were explained by you on 23 Sep 2008 above. Today I have opened one more community with the name hindu temples in India. Whether we can start posting the messages or we have to wait till 1st october, 2008.

Hi Tony,
While posting the communities, I have faced some technical problem and the same community was added twice, name of the community is Hindu Temples in India. I have posted responses to the forum messages in one community and submitted the same. But when I opened the same and saw the same message was repeated 4 times.
Photos feature though it is there but I dont think that is working.
Adsense revenue link also I think has to be connected.

I think almost all the bugs are posted above by various members. So i don't want to write the samething and make spam this thread.
But,
I can able to give some suggestions and ideas for our forthcoming community.
1)Please give rank for each and every member based on their points. The rank must be shown in the left panel. Then only member know his rank and they work hard to get higher rank. Because everybody wants to go up. Nobody wants to get down.
If more than one member have same points then give priority for the member who joined first (first come first serve basis).
2)Please add a section "mobiles" under the categories. Because nowadays mobile phones are have important role in each and everyones life. So peoples have lot of doubts regarding this. If this category is added they will clear their doubts.
3)once a member joined in a particular community disable the "join now" option. Even the member logged in "join now" remains enable.
4)there is one bug in the while registering in the community as well as indiastudychannel. That is multiple accounts can have the same email id here. So please correct it. And here the user ids are cap sensitive. For example if i create a account in the user id "Viruthagiri". I also can able to create another account in the user id "viruthagiri". The difference is first letter.
Thats all, i know right now.
If i find more i will update it here.

Hello folks. At the outset , let me congratulate the ISC team , on adding yet another feather to its cap.
I just had a look at the newly added Communities feature , and it looks very impressive. I liked the simplicity of the feature , no hassles whatsoever.
However I have a very small suggestion to make. Why don't you please include a new category called "Sports" , in the category list in the community list. I have submitted a community dedicated to Sachin Tendulkar , and I had to list it in the "General" section.
This is the only suggestion I have to make. Otherwise , the Community feature is brilliant. Kudos to the ISC team !!
