Hi members/ Site owners,
There is a large number of community sites not getting the approve status. Most of them having no logo. Please read the
Community Web sites - Frequently Asked Questions
carefully. Don't make too much delay in adding the basic requirements.

Some members are created sites with their name itself. Please avoid such posts. Expecting your co-operation.

Jose Mathew
Webmaster.

Hi Jose,

I have created some communities which you have given as examples in your thread i.e. create a own website. I should thank you for giving good examples. I will try to work hard and make it a successful communities.

In one community I have not added logo, I will do that immediately.

Jose,

I think we should make it mandatory, of adding a logo when a member is creating a Community. This will help editor and Webmaster to stop from approving.

If the member has not updated the logo, he will not be able to create a community.

The reason why I say this, as laymen, not many of us will go through the FAQ. And start creating community.

This is my suggestion towards creation of community, where we will have no issue of approving the community.

Regards,

Hi Sandy,

I would suggest not start thread for advertising our communities. Then everyone would start flooding the forum.

I would suggest that start a forum which has information about the a resource which is present in your community. Give a overview and then direct a hyperlink to you Community. As this will also help other to gain information and also come to know that there is community where the member will be able to gather all information.

This how I have done: Nitin Community

Jose/Tony, I think this a best way to let other know about community and also resource. Your feedback.

Regards,

Nitin - Editor

I tried to create a community and added a logo but when I searched for the community, I didn't get it and so I thought that I forgot to click submit and so I created the community again but it gave an error message saying community already exists. Sorry for my mistake

Hi Nitin,

Very good suggestion. I was just about write an advertisement in forum messages about my communities, but after seeing your suggestion I have dropped my idea. I will prepare a information which is relevant to my community now and post the same in the forum messages.

I have created this community "Community to answer queries about diabetic eye disease".How to add logo? How to create forum for the community?
For joining & creating a community, there are points in ISC,whether I have to inform that I have created or joined a community or webmasters will come to know this automatically & points will be given automatically?

Sachin,

You can go to your community page and click on the "Site Configuration" link in the left. It will show you various options like Upload Logo etc.

The points are automaticallycalculated by the system. You do not need to tell anybody. (This is still under development and the points are not yet calculated. Once the development is completed, our system will calculate points for all communities)
