Will Obama put axe on outsourcing?

Posted Date: 06 Nov 2008      Posted By: Amarender Kancharla      Member Level: Silver     Points: 1   Responses: 4

As part of elections campaign Obama (President of U.S.A) said that he would control the outsourcing of projects.
But many of our indian experts are saying that its not going to happen as the U.S economic strategy will face a problem if they do so.
So what you thinkl Obama will do in coming few months/years?

He never said he will completely put off the outsourcing job to other countries but what he insisted is he will use the local human resources as well to be trained in outsourced job's like telemarketing, call center and BPO job's.

As the Unemployment reached the historic high of 7% he thought of this, but we can still manage with what ever the project we had earlier, and by using that we can still get more projects

hi
obama also said in his speech that he will look forward to cutting the costs.
america desperately needs trained manpower and to at affordable prices.
india provides america cheap trained brain.
america knows its importance and as far as strategies are concerned indian companies need not worry.
moreover presently obama was in a campaign mood so we should play a wait and watch game and see how things unfold.
thanks.

Obama will not be able to cut outsourcing completely. But there will be a reduction in the type of jobs and number of jobs being outsourced. This will be to ensure that people in US also get the opportunity to earn when the economy is not showing any signs of recovery.

It will not be possible to stop outsourcing of jobs completely. As it was an election campaign strategy,he said like this.He may be able to implement it to some extent to give jobs to Americans but he can't stop outsourcing totally.Indians are doing jobs quite fast & at a cheaper rate
