hi,
I did my B.E. in electronics and communication. I am now working in a Software company for 2 years. I am interested in learning physics. How can i move about changing to physics field from electronics background. I am now refreshing my electronics and communication subjects.
I would be very happy if i could get this dialemma resolved.
thanks in advance

Hi Ayyappan,
First of all what do you mean by changing from electronics to physics field? I guess electronics is also a part of physics.
Anyhow if you want to have a career/study in physics rather than the typical VLSI and embedded things in Electronics, i guess the best option would be to go for a higher education.
You can get in touch with some of the university professors about some Ph.D programmes. Some universities do accept students with bachelor degree and some good experience and a very good reference from professor to pursue the Ph.D programs directly.
Are if you are looking out for some jobs then you can start applying for ISRO/DRDO/etc where a good scope of research would be happening and you can learn many things.

Thanks for the reply. I am pleased.
I did Bachelors in Engineering [Electronics and Communications] stream. Now how can i go directly for Ph.D. programme. Should i have to go for Post Graduate in physics [ partime or correspondence courses] ? Can i get a job after my studies.
I am very much interested in learning about atomic physics, space researches.
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance,
Ayyappan
