I am agree with you. Ragging makes adverse effects on junior students.Their confidence level goes down. Their are some examples where the ragging results in suicide. So ragging should be strictly prohibited by the students.

Yes, you are right Mr. Jose Mathew.
Ragging is a terrible act which spoils the lives of students.
Colleges are for learning purpose, not to make torture to fresh students. Our Government should try seriously to avoid this violence.
I don’t think, these actions of Supreme Court will do better. Since ragging are continuing only in reputed colleges where many students came from Royal Families.
With the support of their parents, sometimes these legal actions may not be applicable for them.
Let me know your comments in this regard.

Yes. Probably the rules are only rules and not implemented., meant only for writing. Although there are many such rules., these are not strictly followed. Why is this so.
Many people are aware that ragging is not to be done in colleges but even then., do it. there is no stopage on this. They are aware of the punishment for ragging but they dont tend to stop. Even the authorities are not that concerned to it. It affects the mental status of a person.
College is a place where people go to study and not to rag others and have pleasure on it. There are things through which you can have fun but not with the lives of others. This may look very simple., the consequence on the person involved would be severe. Hence dont rag., if found., please give your guidance so that such things would not happen again.

i dont think the court or the law enforcement agencies can do much to prevent ragging,d only thing they can do is to nab the culprit once the crime hasbeen done.
if we really wanna stop the raggin menace step should be taken at the grass root level like forming an anti ragging commities comprising of both brilliant and average students and also by letting the fresher students introduce themselves to their seniors in the presence of college authorities.
these are very small an sensible decision which colleges can adopt to stop the menace of ragging.

even i like to give my comments on this topic.seroiusly ragging is big problem to the students according to me.getting into a college is like starting a new life.its almost like entering into the actual world.so every student should enter their college with enthuciasim and lots of dreams on their first day.but several students entre their college with fear this is not correct.How many parents are strugglin a lot to make their student to persue a graduation.but this ragging surely makes such students to loose concentration.so the goverment
should take some more actions on this issue and the college administration should also show intrest on this issue.

ragging is done by senior student to junior student it's really the big problem to our student who newly gets admission to their respective colleges student get frustration of this unwillingness activities done by the senior student ya mathew i do think it will helpful...

Ragging should be strictly punished. It was done by seniors to juniors in the name of "just kidding". But in some cases it may lead to serious problems. So all the student must understand its serious ness. Colleges must take serious actions against the students involved in such behaivours.

Ragging is a serious issue as far as the colleges are concerned. It's necessary that all seniors should interact with their juniors but seniors take undue advantages during their first interactive sessions with the juniors. They tend to exploit their juniors in the name of interactive session which is called ragging. Ragging has no doubt adverse effects on the psychology of the students .And in some cases it has proved fatal also as we often hear the cases of suicide attempts by the students who were victims of ragging. So ragging has to be banned in the colleges to avoid such cases and to have a peaceful atmosphere in the college.And strict action must be taken to avoid ragging.
