Gautham vasudev menon's VAARANAM AYIRAM once more proved that surya can do any roles in tamil industry after muragadoss GHAJINI.He was extremely well in his acting.In this film he also proved that he can also dance well.Also all the songs in the film was extarordinary.Harris jayaraj did the best in this film.Surya was the "YOUNG KAMAL"

Hi to all,
The film vaaranam aayiram is Ok.i`ll say not bad.It`s not a superb,good or best film.Because, all says that it is not an action film.So we should see like that.It is the relation between father and son.But while seeing it is not a relation between father and son.Why i am saying this means,father plays main role in flashback only.Otherwise he is not the part.Father and son`s relation film means we can say Kireedam.Father rajkiran plays main roll.Don`t get angry with me surya fans.

It is a good movie but not a best movie. Not bad to watch at hall.

It is one of the best films released in the year 2008. By watching the movie we can know the efforts put forth by each artist in the film. Especially surya had taken great pains. He fits into each and every stage of the role that he played. Of course harris jayaraj has done a very good job to popularise the songs. Gautham has once again proved himself. The film picturises each and every stage of an individual.

no actor can do the role done by suriya in varanam ayiram perfectly.
bcoz todays actor r working for money but surya had done an excellent movie not for name and fame.
he had perfectly fit for the role of a school student,college student and a good father.a lover and lots in the film.he acted energetically in that movie.on seeing the movie we can clear why so much time taken to release a movie.hats off to surya.super star

Vaarnam aairam the film of suryas life said by in an interview, he and and director vasudeva menon dedicated this film to there father.
I loved the way he acted has a father character each and every expression was so beautiful and realistics and way he proposed simram was a beatiful one and the character of son surya in his younger days was very nice, and his acting like a drug adtict will surely make the other drug adict to improwise.

Varanam Ayiram is a very good movie from Surya. In the movie he is playing a double role as father and son. Different stages of both characters are shown very beautifully in the movie. The father is supporting his son for every thing and they are very open. By watching the movie one can feel the attachment of a father to his son and son to his father. Also it has got good songs that has already become hits.

Varanam Ayiram by Gautam. This film is good. But not too good after the much expectation it created. The film lacks Gautam's usual style. One who goes without any expectation will like this film surely. The film could have contained more father content in it. Other than this, this is a nice film. can be watched once. Songs are rocking.

varanam ayiram was directed by goutham.this film is entirely different from his previous movies like kakha kakha,minnale etc.surya acting is really superb.all of the songs in this film is amazing.harris prove his tallent in this film.simran also attracting us.sameera reddy is very beautiful.but the second half is move slowly.the reason is may be sameera reddy's death.finally this film is super hit of this year...

Varnam aayiram was a great movie, it is quite late to begin this review but not very late. Surya's hit movie in the year 2008, the first half was good as everyone liked it. The second half was miserable killing the heroine and mixing up with story was not a good idea by gautham.
I like the heroine [Sameera Reddy], She was good looking all the way and great storming action scenes. The second half had so much unwanted sentiments which was not welcome by public.The songs were great and the songs were kind of copied from English or older Tamil songs[No Offense], Otherwise the film was good.
Overall rating for the film was 3/5 by The Hindu and Times Of India.

i like the film very much , again it has all the qualities of gautham manan film , same track ,
again america , two heroins , failure in love . but the story line is nice and enjoyable .
