The sex ratio is almost equal in our country but ratio of educated female is only 30%.So one can understand the position of the situation. There are so many decisions taken by our govt.for the improvement of girl child but result is below the average because the basic criteria for most of our parent is to educated the girl child for the purpose of marriage only. This idea has deprive the girls from their basic need.In our country there are also a few parent who does noteven want to send their girls to school. But we all know that with out educated the mother, true education of the child is not possible in all time. Many of our parent also think that girls are the burden but they does not know that girls are the true friend of the parent.By creating rules this can not be stopped.Only true education of the society can prevent this situation. So we have to depends on our new generation for their active participation and co operation to educate the girl child on priority basis.

The Indian government has expressed a strong commitment towards education for all; however, India still has one of the lowest female literacy rates in Asia. In 1991, less than 40 percent of the 330 million women aged 7 and over were literate, which means today there are over 200 million illiterate women in India.

This low level of literacy not only has a negative impact on women’s lives but also on their families’ lives and on their country’s economic development. Numerous studies show that illiterate women have generally high levels of maternal mortality, poor nutritional status, low earning potential, and little autonomy within the household. A woman’s lack of education also has a negative impact on the health and well being of her children. For instance, a recent survey in India found that infant mortality was inversely related to mother’s educational level. Additionally, the lack of an educated population can be an impediment to the country’s economic development.

Education of girls and women in general has been a high priority with the Government of India . In the new millennium, India has consolidated its earlier educational reforms with increased resources and stronger policy commitments for achieving elementary education for all children, particularly girls.

India govt is taking much more steps to wards Education, but still the literacy rate of girl child is less. Today's girl is a mother of tomorrow,
so if she gets proper education than the future family is more sucure. The ratio of illitrate girl child is more, because most of our mothers are not educated.

Mother educated in a family means,ss cent percent of the family will be educated, otherwise what lesson she will give to her children
about education, health, immunisation, infection and disease.

What ever the mother may be, but most of the children are grown with her.Or we can simply say mother is the first
teacher of a child. So her education is indispensible.

Educating a girl child will definetely help her to stand in life
and make her secure. The govt should do more like free education for girls at all levels to deserving students.

Now days education is very important for both male and female.
females are equally participating in all fields and working hard than
men. "EDUCATION TO A MEN WILL DEVELOP ONLY HIS FAMILY" BUT" EDUCATION FOR
A WOMEN WILL DEVELOP THE SOCIETY AND FORE COMING GENERATION" SO EDUCATION TO FEMALES R IMPORTANT>

Friends, as we know UNICEF has launched the '25 by 2015' campaign for Girl Child education program in 25 countries in
the world where there is acute statistics of Girl Child education, it is right time to give a awareness boost through discussions and campaigning.

Though 93rd Amendment of Indian Constitution has already made Education to all a basic right, it has yet to achieve the goal, precisely in girl child's case. Central govt has
announced so many schemes to attract these parents. But the thing is that we should analyze the reason before going for the solution.

The social stigmas are the main reasons that includes society's indifference and attitude towards a girl child. We are giving free education and even monetary helps to parents of these children. Even then they are unwilling to
send them to schools. Because they have been given that educating a girl child will bring bad fortune to the whole family. This may look a unbelievable proposition to the urban mass, but is is a reality in many tribal and backward areas
of our country. Most interestingly some African countries also have the same belief.

So, changing the way of some sections' thinking is a herculean task for the NGOs and other government agencies working for the cause which needs to be underlined.

Education of girl child plays an important part in building our nation, Nowadays when there is no difference left between a boy and a girl, educating them should be the prime concern of the parents.

There should not be any hitch between a girl and boy, as they both are equal, educating them is really important, as they play the role of mother. Mothers do play a important t role in building their kids carrier, so being educated is important.

EDUcatng a gal child means educating our next generation because girls are the human creator, care taker and they are the first teacher of a child if a girl will be educated properly then she will ave idea how to take care of her own health so tat she can keep her self healthy, hyginic and she can deliver a healthy child after marriage and she will get to know what is the right time for becominga mother and also she will teach her child or else can guide at least for their studies so it is higly recomenede to provide education to a girl

On the occasion of Women's Day I wish to remind everybody that we are indebted to women next to God. Firstly for the life itself and secondly for making it worth living. So lets not forget our role towards the education of a girl child. Lets all try to contribute whatever little we can and make the world a better place for her.

Not only for a girl, education is necessary for any one to boost up a nation. Who knows what scientist is hiding inside one's brain?

It is not the case of girl or a boy... It doesnt matter what ever the gender may be, education should be made must.

The high the literacy rate, the more the nation developed...

Dear Naveen,

I agree that education is important for every individual. At the same time we must agree that the fairer sex is deprived of so many basic things required in life. Hence this was the reason of starting the discussion.

Hi friends,
This low level of literacy not only has a negative impact on women’s lives but also on their families’ lives and on their country’s economic development.

There was a one quote which says that, "a education to a male will make only him as a literate but education for a female will make the family as a literate".
Thanking you
Regards Ram Anand!
