Monetizing new blog

Your article gets immediately cached in ISC because ISC is being frequently crawled by bots of search engines and thus the immediate displaying in Google Search Engines.

We should also bear in mind that ISC receives many thousands of visitors daily which increases its (ISCs) exposure to Search engines.

This is not possible for personal blogs in its initial days and months but you can take up steps write from your first article to be search engine friendly and also to be user friendly.

1. First of all, if you can jingle out little cash, go for typepad, where you can put up your blog as typepad has very good templates and I think they start very low from 4.95 $ per month. Other wise blogger and wordpad are good.

Having a good template, can make your blog seem pleasant for your viewers.

2. For every article you post, use a good but short title. Do not use numbers and codes for your title. Google search engine uses your title of every article to put up in search.

3. In the edit HTML link, put Description META tag and write a short description of your blog. Then use the blog for writing articles on a specific subjects only. If you want to write articles about different subject, then create a new blog.

4. In the edit HTML page, put keywords META tag and go on adding keywords relevant to all the articles in your blog. This will tell google adsense to display the type of ads you would want in your blog. What you will add in this tag will be the actual keywords on the basis of which ads will be shown on your blog. The words you will add in tags will not be used for showing the article specific ads.

After all, if we are writing a niche market article blog, we will expect a adwords ad on that niche market because we know that the niche market ad is a costlier one than a general ad. This will also help you in avoiding a 0.01$ earning from a click instead of a 1$ or 2$ click on your ads.

5. Every time you create a article, add tags to it which will help when you add a search engine in your blog.

6. Every time you write an article, add your article link manually to google, yahoo and bing search engines. It will help in the log run.

7. Give a link to ISC and submit in the bookmarks sections.

8. However good article you write it will NEVER be enough to monetize your blog. You will have to promote it. I will suggest you to get connected with Orkut, LinkedIn, Facebook and alike social networking sites and promote your blog articles where ever you can. Promote the direct links of your articles wherever you can. Then only you can think of your visits getting increased. For this again you will have to do the same work again and again. The day you stop, your game of popularizing your blog is over.

9. You can get in touch of big groups on YahooGroups or Google Groups and try to promote your blog links over there. Groups have large number of members and you are likely to get a good visits from the groups. Alternatively, you can think of starting your own group and trying to increase your group's membership and promoting your blog there.

All this, even if fits in one post to this thread, is a very tedious job and I have tried to do it and I can tell you that if I would had been able to give full time for this work, I would have had been very successful in monetizing my blogs.

In ISC, I think the tags which we add in Resources Section are used as keywords; but this is not the same in blogs. So here comes the difference on the usage of the tags.
