Ezine and IndiaStudyChannel

Recently, many members have been thrilled and excited about their posts being approved in ezine and shared the good news with us.

Many members started contributing in ezine and started posting same resource in both the places. I am sorry to say that this is not really going in a healthy direction for ISC.

Editors have been rewarding plenty of cash and points for the resources in ISC if it has a corresponding summary posted in ezine with a link to ISC. Many members started copy pasting same resource in both ISC and Ezine, which could lead to duplicate content issues for us in search engines.

Some members posted the link in ISC links section as well and earned lot of points there too.

I would like to make few clarifications:

1. Going forward, resouces posted in Ezine will not be given any special consideration in ISC.

2. If you re publish same resource in another site in addition to ISC, the post in other site should have a link to the corresponding resource page in ISC. Also, those re published posts will earn only half of the eligible points/cash.

3. If your Ezine article is a summary of your ISC resource (instead of copy paste), you can post links of your Ezine summary article to the ISC links section, and it will be given up to 10 points. (the link from Ezine should not have the html tag rel="nofollow" for the link which is a message to search engines to ignore the link.) To view the rel="nofollow" tag, you must look at the source of the ezine article page.

4. You can post resources in ISC and post a summary of that in Ezine. But that will not get you any extra points for your ISC resources. Only benefit for you will be:
- get some traffic to your own ISC resource
- get up to 10 points in ISC links section by submitting that link there.

5. The announcement that offers up to Rs 50 per link is no more valid.

The recommended practice is this:

1. Post resoures in ISC resources section
2. Prepare a summary of your ISC resource, post the summary in Ezine and give a link from the Ezine page to your ISC resource page (which will get additional traffic to your ISC resource).
3. Submit the link of your Ezine page in ISC Links section and get up to 10 points.

We never announced that we will give so much points for a link from ezine. We may end up going back and making corrections to the already awarded points as well.

http://www.indiastudychannel.com/forum/37369-Good-news-for-writers-at-isc-introducing-cash-credit-for-submitting-ezine-articles.aspx

This is where RamKumar Sir has announced Cash Credits of Rs.0 to Rs.50 per valid Ezine submitted or even more(If the article is that much of high Standard)

For each url submitted, you will get 1 to 50 points and equivalent cash credits. The points and cash depends on various factors including quality of your post, relevance to the linked page in ISC and many others.

Please Clarify

Okay, my mistake. I have updated the original post. I will not go back and cancel the cash credits for previous posts. But the announcement is applicable effective immediately.

Sad to witness the rollback.

Anyways, this can be still a good step to pump in more resources in ISC. Can ISC assure the editorial as was at ezine?

I was although expecting good cash credits on my ezines! I thought that I would be eligible for Payments next month.

Nevertheless, only earning is not our sole aim. Let us continue to keep contributing to ISC henceforth.

But then contributing to ezine has its own benefits. One gets immediate recognition on contributing to ezine and having your article approved there. Atleast that has been the wonderful point of ezine and ISC making the driving motivation.

Dear Tony Sir

You have made this announcement with necessary corrections on 15th October 2009.

Ezine links have been approved till 6th October 2009. So what have you decided about the links published in between 6th October 2009 and 16th October 2009.

Are you going to clear up these links with old rules or new rules?
I am asking because I have submitted 4 articles at ezine and their links to ISC after the articles got approved.

Now with the new rule, I will be at great loss in both Points (up to 200 points) and also in Cash Credits.

Please clarify.

its really intollerable. i checked many links provided on the link page and i found that most of the links are from ezine. that is only because of the points that for one post one can get 40 to 50 points. that is not bad but other stes too should be taken care of. i'm a regular visitor to yahoo answers and i give the links of yahoo here on india study channel, but they are not reviewed yet. may be processing going on.
but all the links i have provided are legal true to my best. so plz take care of other sites post too. itoo have joined ezine. and will provide those links very soon. once my articles get approved there.
i'm not going to repeat any of the posts here in indiastudy channel.
thank you
for informing me.

@Ataul Haque: Please note that Yahoo Answers link submissions just cannot get the same level of points & cash credits as Ezine. As pointed out by the Webmasters, Ezine is a global website of high quality articles so attracts a lot of visitors; by giving links to ISC in their articles, members are getting traffic to ISC in large numbers.

This is not the case with Yahoo answers at all. That site is a question-answer site that gives short general information. Since you give a reply anyway, the person who put the query (and other readers) may not necessarily click on your ISC link given in the answer. Hence, the link submissions here get less points & cash credits than Ezine.

Note, however, that you can get 10 points and Rs.10/- [now same as Ezine] if your answer is of very high quality and is rated as the best answer by the Yahoo Community.

Also, links are approved here only after 10-15 days. This is because after you submit an answer at Yahoo Answers, it is vaguely possible that your answer could be deleted for violation of Yahoo Community guidelines; even the question itself could be deleted for the same reason. In that case, your link here will not be accepted. This has happened with me too a few times, so we all just have to wait for some time till our links get reviewed.
