Opportunity for ISC members to become webmasters of regional websites

I have some exciting opportunities for smart members of ISC, which will help you build a career in webmaster post or SEO consultant position.
I launched my first website SpiderKerala.com 10 years back. At that time, I did not have any good platform to market the site. I literally went to my friends and invited them in person to visit my web site. I went to many shops, railway stations, bus stands and other public places and posted stickers about the site. It took few months for me to get my first 10 members. Six months after launching the site, when I told a friend that I get average 25 page views per day in SpiderKerala.com, he was very excited ! Eventually, SpiderKerala.com became one of the most popular regional websites in Kerala.
Few years later, I launched dotnetspider.com which became one of the best .NET tutorial websites in the world. I launched many other successful websites later.
Many of you may have noticed that I launched many regional sites like GoaSpider.com, ChennaiSpider.com, BengalSpider.com etc. Some of you have been asking questions like what is the relation between these sites and ISC, how can you get involved in this etc.
Including me, many of your familiar ISC members are involved in the management of the new regional websites. Many of the editors who proved their web site management and editing skills in ISC are given the web master responsibilities in the regional sites on profit sharing basis.
I would like to extend this opportunity to more eligible members. I am interested to start more sites targeting other communities (regional communities within India and outside), like TexasIndians.com, SingaporeBusinessChannel.com, AustraliaStudyChannel.com, SrilankaStudyChannel.com etc.
Here is some information for the potential webmasters:
- The first criteria to be selected as a webmaster is, you must have been an active editor in ISC for atleast 6 months and should have demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a web site administrator. If you are not yet an editor, figure out yourself how to become an editor here.
- Being a webmaster, you are fully responsible to run the site, market the site, get traffic etc. You cannot use ISC as a platform to advertise your site.
- Your webmaster role in the new site should not affect your editing role in ISC. Your first responsibility is to perform your editing role in ISC. If you lose the editor role in ISC, you will lose the webmaster role as well.
- You are responsible for editing the content, selecting winners, announcing prizes etc in your site.
- You must manage the revenue of the site. You must provide the cash credits and prizes from the site revenue.
- You will get a fixed percentage of the profit from the site. The percentage will be decided based on the nature of the site.
- I will do the development and hosting of the site. I will provide lot of tips and guidance in optimizing the sites for search engines. I will not be involved in any day to day administration of the website, unless it is absolutely necessary.
- You are responsible to make the site success. After 1 year from the launch date of the site, your site should receive average 5000 page views per day. If you cannot bring the site to that level, you will lose the webmaster role or an additional co webmaster will assigned to your site by offering a portion of your revenue share to him/her.
One of the criteria I am looking for in a webmaster is, you should have the ability to promote web pages in search engines. So, if you are not familiar with SEO, search in google for "Search engine optimization" and start applying the optimization tips in your ISC posts.
If you can make the site a super success, there is a very good earning potential for you. Also, you can gain lot of experience in webmaster role, which will help you start your own website business in future or take up the webmaster job as a career. Also, you can become an SEO consultant with the experience you gain by working with me in the new site. The webmaster job and SEO consultant position are highly paid jobs in the web industry.
Please do not start posting responses like 'Can I become webmaster of NepalSpider.com ?' etc. Read my message carefully and follow all the instructions. If you are not an editor of ISC, first figure out how to become an editor. If you are an editor already, learn how to optimize posts for search engines and start applying your knowledge in ISC. You will need to wait until I am convinced about your skills to optimize web pages for search engines.
