Hi Manish,
I also have seen many schools been rejected for this kind of activity, but still the members won't stop. And yes there is a need for some hard measures to be taken. I duly respect your ideas, but I feel deducting points from the member who originally posted is not that good . Because ISC has all sought of members, consistent contributors, seasonal contributors and short period contributors. So all the members who have posted the schools till now, may not be active now. They may be in their seasonal break or completely left ISC. So modifying their points without their notice may not be correct.
So according to me, ISC should offer certain points to even those who edit the old posts. So that members will show some interest in editing them. But the points of those who posted them originally should not be changed.

Hi Manish Jain,
Good suggestions made by you. We need complete information abut the colleges and schools in our list. But unfortunately some members are not entering the full details. At first we approved many such posts having no full details.
Now editors need not approve any post without full details. Proper address and contact number is a must. We will consider your suggestions. We can think of giving points to members who are posting additional details.

When some one searches for schools or colleges in google, ISC comes in the first page. I dont know whether many members know this or not. But, even though the school is listed out, many a times, there is no complete information about the school or college.
One more suggestion from my side: If some new information is given by any member about the already approved school, the school post goes to that member's name (ofcourse after checking the details posted, to avoid spamming). This is to make the members who post the schools or colleges to give more details.

Hi,
This can be done not only in Schools and Colleges but also in many of the other sections like My India, Business etc.
There also many members who post incomplete articles. If some other member can get good details and update the post the points and the adsense rating should be given to that person, if and only if the updated version is good enough.
This copy cat posting have been going for long, we have to try and curb it in the site. ISC has to come up and should be really accepted in the net. The site should have all the details needed for the searcher in the Education line.

Hi Manish
Good catch and suggestions. I want to say about Jobs section, where lot of duplicates OR spam type jobs are being posted by members without any detail contact information. There are few members who are maintaining a Quality and following rules too, but NOT all. Somebody just copy same title which he/she found in other sites, and paste in Jobs posts. I have rejected those Jobs which dont have,
1] Good title 2] No proper description of Jobs. 3] Sufficient contact details (atleast a valid email id & address is must) 4] Just copied and paste without any form.

Hi Manish, I like the way you think of ISC. Every member of ISC should always feel like in this way. WE (all member) are in a house (ISC), so we all are responsible to make it clean & clear. It might be the time when those submissions are get approved by the Editors due to overload and less time for checking. But, from now on ISC has appointed many Trainee Editors in each section, So hopefully it's not going to repeat.
My suggestion for Approving - Incase of School or College submission Members shouls come up with - Description, Detail Adderess, Contacts(Ph, Fax, Email, Wesbsite - Any 2 must), Affiliation, Hostel Facility, and any comment (optional)

Incomplete posting is like buying a horse shoe without a horse! Or it can be also vice versa.
What is the use of having bulk of messages on the website without complete information? What is the importance of writing on the Post Page that Only complete and detailed responses with correct Grammar and Spelling will be approved.
What is the use of saying "This is a strictly moderated so and so".
If you are going to increase the bulk on the website, it is going to useless if people will not find complete information at the site.
This will in turn increase the bounce rate of the site and will result in reduction of page rank.
Editors, please do not allow incomplete articles to be posted at any cost on the site. YOU ARE HELPING TO DECREASE ISC RANKING AND NOTHING ELSE.
Please.

Dear Manish,
Your point is good. We the editors of Schools and College are following the same rules. The rules are
Mandatory Fields: Name, Address(detailed or at least with some landmark), City, State, Pin Code and/or Phone Number.
Optional: Email, Website, Description.
Now you can find many schools and colleges approved even above mandatory fields are not filled in, those posts are older posts during which ISC was going through its transition phase where ISC required a good amount of database to get start on Internet World.
But now since ISC has come to a stage where its Standard is required to maintained after its Popularity and Reliability the rules are made and it is followed as above.
There is an option available to edit the schools and colleges that are having less information and hence can be edited by new member and completed.

I am barely into first month with ISC. From very first day I've felt one thing about content on different sections, especially on forums and resources. Forgive me if i am hurting anybody, but the quality of English used by members is far from satisfactory. Of course you can't expect the standard of literature, but at least minimum requirements of grammar must be met I think. The editors for variuos sections are very good at verifying the authenticity of the posts and evaluating the posts for points. I feel they should pay little more attention towards the quality of English also.
Thanks

This is in observation of response of m v lathkar, it is true in forum section, I come across several basic mistakes of beginning of paragraphs in small caps, using 'i' instead of 'I', this is just an example, as it looks the members who post such responses are in hurry to go to next thread, as such it is better to read the typed text before submission, this will in turn will help improving the correct usage.
Further I come across a lot of abbreviated words, as the usage of sms in cell phones has influenced this aspect, it won't look nice. In this regard I suggest to include this aspect in the tips to newbies, as it is found single word contents, abbreviated words in headers, such things can be avoided.
