Pay per second and pay per minute.

Now many cellular companies have launched pay per second schemes like Tata's docomo. Is it good to go for pay per second scheme than pay per minute? Will it cost less?

Not exactly, but pay per minute will be helpful those who make frequent calls, but where as pay per second is helpful those who make calls occasionally.

Hi Gurjant,

I would say that pay per second is a new feature and as many companies have now started this scheme, I would also say that this is a really good scheme. It is really a good idea to have the pay per second than pay per minute, I would say. This is because people who have too much value for their time can be benefited from the pay per second call.

In pay per minute scheme, when we make a call, either we make a call for one second or fifty nine seconds, we will have to pay for one minute only. Lets say that the call rate for one minute is 60 paise and the call rate for one second in the pay per second is 1 paise. Now if the person talks to the person for 40 seconds, he will have to pay 60 paise in pay per minute call and 40 paise in pay per second call. I would say that pay per second won't change the attitude of those even who make frequent calls.

Thus in a nutshell, I am in favor of the pay per second facility.

Regards and Thanks,
Gyandeep.
