In India beggars are actually interested in doing so due to one of the following reasons: 1)Some of these people are lazy enough not to get into work. 2)Some are really handicapped. So the only thing they do is begging. 3)Some are not really handicapped, but they pretend so to create kindness and make money. 4)Some may be the old people who are thrown out by their children and can't actually get into work. 5)Unemployed people may also find begging easy. People of first and third kind are not to be trusted. They try either to create kindness or to irritate us. They should be given proper counseling so that they should find the art of asking others embarrassing.
People of second and fourth kind should be joined in old age houses and government need to take care of them.
Employment opportunities should be increased to help the people of fifth kind.
We are also not supposed to encourage begging by giving money and things to beggars.

Hello friends,
I think beggars need sympathy of us if they are the real ones. If the government is not doing any thing for the real beggars what will they do ?
Many of them are handicapped and can not do any kind of work. How will they live if are not kind to them. But some people take it as an easy job which has more benefits and less effort. It is to be discouraged.
For this we can do one thing. Do not give money to the beggars. If you can buy some food for them and give them. This will help in decreasing the number of the fake ones who pretend as beggars and cheat us.
Regards , Renjith

Beggar menace is the most embarassing situation in our Country...and as far as Hyderabad is concerned the cross roads are the main ''adda'' for these beggers...they just pounce upon you as soon as stop for the signal...and you have to shell out forcefully...When Teegala Krishna Reddy of TDP got elected as Mayor he promissed to get rid of beggars and want to see beggar free Hyderabad...that was ony in words but not in action...Govt must send them to rehabilitaion homes and we must discourage giving alms to them..

Friends! It is most embarrassing seen in India. Beggars in India are increasing day by day. They are capable of doing some work and earn but they simply want to sit and eat.Everyone should stop encouraging this stuff. We should not pay them, otherwise we may help them out to be self-reliable.
There are beggars having lakhs of bank balance. So let's stop giving to the beggars. subhashis

If the Statement "Day by Day Beggers are increasing" is true the we have to worry a lot about India. In India, Rich goes to Richer, Richer goes to Richest and Poor goes to poorest. India's Policy is totally wrong in some the fields. Unfortunately our Politicians are not care about poors. They care about rich people. Then only they will get money from them and fullfill their pocket.
Best Regards, Suresh.

Though the governing authorities has taken some strict measures to eradicate this menace, but still it is in practice and it is rampant in urban areas especially city areas. When one come across through traffic signals he will find this harrowing experience.
In most of the places the government has made separate colonies for their sake, but still in need of money for different purposes, they will be back to their business.
All beggars are not real beggars, it is like a profession, we might have read the newspaper few days back, a nanny who is supposed to take care of the child where she is employed used to give the baby to beggars for the sake of money, that is really harrowing.
To eradicate this menace, one should stop them giving money, it has to start from that place, rather than depending on governing authorities to solve.
Though begging is offensive and a punishable act, but still it is going on.
