Adsense,an advertising program from Google,enables website publishers,to earn money by running ads served by google.The person/webmaster who has a website or blog and enrols himself in to the adsense program,which by the way is free to join,is called a publisher.He/she is required to place a javascript code on their web on their site to enable google to serve the ads.The script pulls keyword-relevant ads from it’s ad server content database and serves them onto the web pages.Everytime a visitor clicks on an ad the webmaster/publisher gets paid a percentage of the fee that google receives from the advertiser.Google’s sends out digital “crawlers”(googlebot)which parses the host web page,analyzes the content determines what keywords are relevant,in relation to the content on the web page and reports its findings back to google’s ad server.ads matching those keywords are then served by the google server.The entire process is automated.How much can a web publisher make? depends on : how much traffic your site draws, how many visitors click on your ads , revenue per click generated to you. some ads paying as much as $5 or more,in which case,it is possible for to generate a serious income. there are cases of some people earning as much as $400/day and more.
