PLEASE DO READ TILL END
We had our first argument last night, and he said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me. I know he is sorry and didn't mean the things he said, because he sent me flowers today.
I got flowers today. It wasn't our anniversary or any other special day. Last night he threw me into a wall and started to choke me. It seemed like a nightmare, I could n't believe it was real. I woke up this morning sore and brused all over. I know he must be sorry cause he sent me flowers today.
I got flowers today, and it wasn't mother's day or any other special day. Last night, he beat me up again, it was much worse than all the other times. If I leave him, what will I do? How will i take care of my kids? What about money? I'm afraid of him and scared to leave. But i know he must be sorry because he sent me flowers today.
I got flowers today. Today was a very special day. It was the day of my funeral. Last night, he finally killed me. He beat me to death. If only i had gathered enough courage to leave him, i would not have gotten flowers today.......
If you are against domestic abuse, please pass this along to everybody, NOT just women..... It's really hurting.... :-(

The article would have been a nice joke. But the matter is a grave one. I rough guess would be that 90% of the cases are never reported in India regarding domestic abuse. Children are also abused a lot in India by parents and relatives. There are rules in certain countries that punish the parent if anyone reports that he or she is abusing their child. It need not be the child itself but anyone report an abuse and the parents would be sent to jail. Rules in our country are never enforced for whom it matters.

saurabh, your article is very touching. really nice. daily, we must be seeing many such cases, but no one has a courage to stand against domestic abuse.women suffer a lot.... andthe reasons mentioned in the article are very right and acuate. relly, a woman cantleave her husband because of kids and money. even for social status and protection and security purposes. in india, lakhs of cases happen everyday , when women are abused. rules must become very strict in india to stop this. this wil help many sisters of us and even ourselves.really this is a very nice article.i m deeply touched. kimaya
