Hi,
In my opinion it is very difficult to say in general whether courtship is beneficial to a single party. It depends on the need, situation and a real feeling of trust, love and affection they have towards each other.
Its a general feeling that most of the men praise look for beauty in the women and if he is courting a woman of his likes and marries then the man is said to be beneficial.
On the contrary Women look for stability, attention and a well to do man(if not rich) and if they are courting such man of their choice then it can be said that a woman is beneficial.

Society assumes that courtship is beneficial both to man and woman. That is the reason why society has created the institution of marriage. But it is sad to see that 50% of the marriages fail in our country for reasons like dowry problems, alcoholic husbands, wife beating, unfaithful husband, unfaithful wife etc.

it is beneficial to both man and woman.God instituted the union of marriage and it is met to be beneficial to both parties.
